Ok, I've been playing my squishy as hell blaster for awhile (lvl 41 right now) and I'm starting to get really bored with it/its pissing me off being so squishy. So I decided to go the other route, and make a tank. I've played brutes over on CoV, and I've heard good things about fire armor and super strength because of that rage+fiery embrace combo.
So this morning I started my fire/ss tank: JudgeMan (lvl 5 currently, and I'm hoping that name isn't copyrighted, it sounds like something I've heard somewhere) Although I can already tell that endurance will be an issue, I'm generally enjoying it right now. Now from time to time I'll go online and look up pre-made builds for my toons, but generally I try and make my own builds. But this time around, since I'm a big fat noob to the tanker AT, I'm going to ask you friendly people for some build advice. Of course, before starting this topic I looked around the tanker forums for fire/ss builds but to no avail (I might have passed it or something but whatever) So to make a far too long post short, does anyone have any builds/build advice for a Fire/SS tank?

And what is the big plus of that "combo"?
IIRC Fiery Embrace boosts Fire attacks much more than any other attack...but with SS you don't have any fire attacks...(?)

Having some experience with both sets, I made up this build for you. I'm sure depending on play style, and tanking preferences, some may want Blazing Aura sooner. And to answer the question about Rage+fiery Embrace, fiery embrace boosts all attack types for 10 seconds, and fire type damage for an extra 10 seconds afterwards.

This combo will be very offense oriented. You could make a good scranker with it. Should be lots of fun and still good damage dealing, since you are coming from blasters you would probably not like it otherwise.

ok cool thankyou for the build.
my tank is lvl 7 now, I took hasten at lvl 6 and I took punch (although I plan on taking haymaker as well)
I noticed you took hasten very late, and im not sure if you took punch at all. you also took acrobatics.
So heres a few questions:
1.) will acrobatics be a necessity?
2.) what are the drawbacks (if any) of taking hasten as early as I did and taking punch?
3.) are the tanker mastery powers really all that useful?

accrobatics isnt needed if your willing to buy the new IO enhancements, they work great on my fire/fire and was really worth it.
i cant see any "drawbacks" to those powers, but air supperiority is IIRC the exact same as punch, and can be used to get your travel power. as far as hasten goes, it depends on how good your endurance is.
and the tanker epics are pretty good. since your used to playing a blaster, fire mastery might be good, since fiery embrace will buf those longer and stronger. if you REALLY need some endurance help, u might want to try their energy mastery for conserve energy.
