I am having trouble beating that big oaf of an NPC Bison on my ranger. Does anyone have any good builds I can try?

I'm also a ranger and even though I used a touch ranger I'm still unable to defeat magni... Any tips of what I'm doing wrong?

i don't know if this will work, but try a crippling bow attack on magni. then run away till his bear form wears of, then use ur 1337 touch skills.

cripple magni the bison, wait till his bear form wears off, then use the classic Ranger/Necromancer touch build on him.
better? :D

You can also use an UrsanTrapper.
1. Ursan Blessing
2. Energizing Wind
3. Quickening Zhyper
4. Serpent's Quickness
5. Dust Trap
6. Barbed Trap
7. Flame Trap
8. Ignorance
12 Expertise
11 Wilderness Survival
5 Domination Magic
4 Beast Mastery
Casters you can take out with basic Ursan+Serpent's Quickness.
Melee and such with Trapping and then switching to Ursan.
For Magni you need to cast Ignorance on him at the moment he's a few steps from your traps this will disable his Purge Signet and he will no longer be able to cleanse himself of condition and then own him with Ursan.

I used something like this:
1. Dis Shot
2. Keen Arrow
3. Sloth Hunter's Shot
4. Prepared Shot
5. Apply Poison
6. Troll Unguent
7. Whirling Defense
8. "You Move Like a Dwarf!"
Can't remember the attributes
The key is "You Move Like a Dwarf!". Use it once, do some damage, run away, repeat. And don't forget to wear the Norn title for a nice health bonus

spirits ftw
works for any profession:
-shadowsong
-vampirism
-pain
-bloodsong
-wanderlust
-finish him!
for ranger take some stances
easy peasy :) just make spirits before you aggro him, he should be blinded by shadowsong, and he will kill the spirits slower than you make new ones :)
