Graphics and squares...idk im confused

Explain that one. It has been doing these stupid squares for a while now, then for some reason it doesn't do it and it looks normal. Then If I go to F11 and change the Refesh Rate from 60x to Defualt and sometimes Defualt back to 60x (Cuz they look the same to me) It goes back to looking perfect again. Anyone know whats wrong?

All my settings for graphics are:

1024x768
Infterface = Normal
Highest Quality on all aspects
Gama is a little less than half way up
Check marks on all 3 options below that.

I have no idea why its not working...If you need to know my computer type...tell me how to figure that out and ill get it. I just really wanna get this fixed. On my old computer I didnt have this problem but ever since the new comp (about 9 monthes ago) I've had this problem.

minimize everything, right click your desktop, choose properties, go to the settings tab, click the advanced button, and go to the adapter tab.

Should see something like this....

Click on teh Display tab, and that will tell you. :)

If you are useing Texmod it does that to me all the time when I use it

This problem came way before text mod. And text mod looks a lot worse than this.

ingame, go to the graphics options and hit the auto detect button. see if that fixes your problem. it kinda looks like you may have a setting to high,dust in the video card fan. that is where i would start.

happens to me on 2 occassions 1. when i am using Texmod sometimes it happens 2. when my graphics card overheats

Do you have a graphics card installed in your system? or is it integrated on the motherboard? if its a graphics card then it more than likely has a fan on it, they collect dust and it can cause your card to overheat. if you blow it out with a can of compressed air, it will help keep it cooler.

Actually the 6200 series do not have a fan on the card so that ain't a issue(used 1 a long time ago).

The problem could be rather simple though, my advise is to do 2 simple things, make sure you got the latest drivers for your video card, if that does not help looked for tweaked ones, just use google :P.

2ndly, make sure you got the LATEST updates from Microsoft, it could be that your DirectX is corrupt and these things happen.

If this does not work, i am sorry to say, i have no idea what could be causing it, might be your screen or just something small in your wireing. Anyhow good luck =)

It might just be a little too much for your gfx chipset. When I first saw the screenie and your deion I though...'Memory!' but now I'm not sure that's all.

Still, try upping your gfx memory in your BioS (Hit Del or F2 when you turn it on) and look for something along the lines of Shared Memory. This will allocate more system RAM to the gfx set and might fix your problem.

When you change the refresh rate you 'flush' the gfx memory and the problem goes away until it fills up again.

How right you are, a little digging turned up the card.

I've not seen a 6200 as anything other than onboard in forever... so there you go, you know what they say about assumption!

I'd like to see your DX report for the system...this is old but not that old that it should cause huge problems!

Lol, guys we need to explain in none computer lingo(or the simplest comp lingo possible :D)...

1. Check your video card drivers and your DirectX(what you installed on your computer after you put your graphics card in, if you bought it all together as a computer package, you'll have to find where they are installed and use the update feature(usually have one)

2. Turn down you graphic settings, 1 less then highest is usually enough, my old computer had the same problem, it would start to have a seiuzre on the highest setting

3. if the above do not work you should contact GW support or if its like that for all games(assuming you play more then GW) take it to a computer shop and ask them to check out your computer(if you have no clue what to do)

Also just checked a forum bout the card, ppl say you should play any game with this card at medium grpahics setting and 800*600 screen resolution.

If nothing works, get a new card maybe a 7k series
