just something about gw

I don't know why but I'm getting so bored of GW all of a sudden. I know EOTN just came out and I personally think it is cool, but its like GW has lost its kick. Does anyone else feel this way and what do you guys do to stay happy and interested in the game except farming

ya, im good at AB and sometimes gvg (dont get in many gvgs though) but thats kinda it...

Any game you play a lot of will get you burned out after a while.

Try finding something differant to do in game for a while.

Work on Vanquishing areas.

Work on making a new build.

Hunt some Greens.

Start a new Char.

Farm to buy me a Mini Gwen :P

Replay some old favorite games.

Wanna learn some kind of Martial Arts? Sign up for classes somewhere.

GW is getting bored imo too, but thats for me for a long time already :p now I started trapping again, its fun... for a while.. FoW is good too.. but gets bored aswell.

Besides GW I also play Return to castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, free online game. (shooter) is good fun.

GTA San Andreas.. always fun to drive/fly around

C&C Generals zero hour, and LAN with friends

NFS Most Wanted.. tho i dont play it that much.

And last, BF2.. but my laptop wont run it and Im using that 90% of the time :P so Im not that much on BF2

if u just spend ur time on more than one game, it doesn't get bored so easy. Ive took brakes from GW for up to 5 months.
then u start again with a fresh mood :p

Just play WoW, got away for a month or two, play a new online game. CoH, WoW are both goodb but there are lots of others. Then in January come back to GW, it'l keep things fresh.

Last time I checked these were all PvP? I think we should have an acronym competition to redefine 'PvP' :)

Personally I don't enjoy PvP, I'm a PvE'er and I know what you mean. Sometimes you just have no motivation to do anything.

Set yourself goals, something to work towards. Aim to make 100k, then 200, then 500 and before you know it you've got enough to kit out a character and re-kindle your interest.

Just the thing i would do. Set out some things you want to achieve, maybe GMC or All the skills, make it interesting. Or start a new fresh character of a proffesion you never really liked and play with that to see if it could be fun(Doing that atm with a Assasin).

I'd suggest the either the above or just do something different in GW to what you have been doing.
I think I overplayed GW for a few weeks and got a bit bored. I'm still on daily but also playing Hellgate: London at the moment and Orange Box is in the post!

have and it is an awesome game!

also with the setting goals thats what i tried the whole gw game before i started getting really bored i got 15k white plat armor ...

Also thought everyone would be saying do a dungeon but guess they didnt kick off very well with everyone >.<

I disagree. Ever been involved in an AB battle with a complete team of noobs? You can always tell by if they are actually smart enough to cap or just plain dumb enough to sit there and shout, "OMG! They're mobbing! Attack the mob! We can win by killing the mob!"....Yeah it does require some brains and skill to play AB, just maybe not to the degree that GvG and HA requires. (Also, have you ever seen a good group of 4 in AB? I go with guildies all the time, and we can take on groups of 7-8 players with just the 4 of us...and we usually win and cap the shrine they were defending. So yeah, AB does require skill....it's just that a lot of the people who play don't ever exhibit any :P).

And RA requires some skill too. You got to be competent enough to bring a build that can effectively fight off the unknown as well as be able to synchronize somewhat with your team. And even if you have a good build for RA, you then have to have some skill in order to use that build effectively in order to win. So RA requires some skill too, just not as much as GvG or HA.

So in short, RA and AB require some skill....just not the level of skill that GvG or HA requires. But to say that they require no skill at all is definitely not true. Go AB with some complete noobs and then do it with people who know what they're doing...you find out pretty quickly that skill does play a huge part.

no, playing with random unranked people you've never played with before is not a type of pvp which requieres skill or shows your skill. capping shrines in AB that's about it, even if it's not the only thing... u know guild wars is a PVP team game yes? as in PVP with REAL PEOPLE which YOU KNOW. pve side of guild wars is only such a TINY bit of the game! it quickly get's repetetive, enemies always have the same skills, spawns, do the same moves, same objectives and tactics in missions and quests etc etc...

imo the best part of this game in theppv, gvg in particular. nothing is better than having a great time with u're friends and guildies by winning in guild vs guild battles with effective fun-to-play bars... annoys me very much when people who have never tried pvp or do not try hard enough say "this game is becoming boring, losing it's novelty, too repetetive".

no big deal killing creatures which aren't even real players.

i do pve for the money to get armor and weapons, that's all. the real fun IMO is when you're dominating in TA, winning halls or becoming succesfull in GVG.

but again, that's just me i guess...

Do AB's.

Really Easy
Don't have to be good t win
You can test your builds for almost anything there
It doesn't matter if you loose/die.

Alternatively, do the 100% explorations or sum other high end title. There a pretty good chest running guide just been posted.
