Well my new PvP Guild just started recently. Im'm wondering if anyone knows where you can locate free vents vent chanells, Ect. Or if you could get me a free vent or vent server. I've just been looking everywhere for one and i cant find it, I dont think i would be willing to pay monthly for it atm. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

if you want a vent server, be ready to pay... there are no free vent service providers that i know of and if there was, i wouldnt expect them to work... sorry :/

if you don't want to pay the best thing you can do is get into an alliance that shares vent with the other guilds, i've been in quite a few where there are enough channels for each guild^^

Me and my friends use this vent server for free
Host name: Public.vent.endpoint.nu
Port: 3784 (not sure if you even need port number)
This server has 40 channels what are mostly finnish
And use vent 2.1.2 or something

I have used a free vent server before but the quality was rubbish and you had a new IP everyday. Sadly don't have the details of their web address anymore, but they do exist, but I wouldn't recommend them at all. If you really do want free chat try the chat option in XFIRE. Again the quality is poor but it is free and easy to use.
However Vent servers aren't that expensive if you spread the cost between guildies. Darkstar are reasonably priced, reliable, and have a Clan Pay option which your guildies can add to with PayPal.

they only exist in the sense that someone else is paying for them and either they are letting the public use it or the information has somehow leaked onto forums or something... they dont however exist in the sense that companies offer free vent servers if you go to their websites and register for one for your guild

Yeah, free servers you can host are limited to 8 man and have as bad quality as TS. So if you want a free server might as well get a TS server since you can fit as many people as you like and the free vents almost always sound REALLY bad.
My GW friend has a server he bought and added the best codec's too and they sound crystal clear and I use it everyday, and it costed him a lot of money to just get the server with good codecs.

other companies have very similar rates.. but if you want a vent server these are the types of prices you should prepare for... or like someone said, join other guilds that already have em and wouldnt mind sharing with your guild
