Well, since it looks like the best way I can gains stuff (exp, inf) for my character (since teams seem to be hard to come by for me) is in hunting Recluse's Victory, what do you think my odds are in there as an Ice/Ice tank with a cataphract in tow? Since I set my tank up for soloing missions with a sleep/hold setup (Frozen Aura, Freezing Touch, Block of Ice), if it really came down to someone wanting to fight me and that pet toy, How well do you think I'd fare with my setup?

And you will defeat, and win, just as hard.
Really, PvP isn't "Will i kill or be killed?", the odds will always be as messed up as Recluse's head.
I was 5-shotted by a Corruptor in Warburg on my Kata/SR Scrapper once, and I even popped Elude after the 1st shot, he didn't even miss once.
I took out a full team of Heroes in Bloody Bay on my Fire/Invul Brute, after killing a Freak Tanker still fighting a Freak Lieutenant when they attacked.
I hit with every single punch against a BS/Regen Scrapper on my Dark/Dark Brute, nevertheless, he swiftly took me out like the -Acc and Fear never existed.
I soloed 2 SS/Invul Brutes jumping at me in Siren's Call on my Emp/Psi Defender with only 2 attacks.
Seriously, you never know, just give it a shot if something comes up, you might win, and you might lose, but you have the toy on your side, as well, though.

Heh, never really thought of it that way. Good point.
Big Chill is a conscranker: he conrols a mob so they do nothing, scraps a target till they can't stand, and tanks what's left till the job's done.

Ice/Ice/Ice lvl 50 tank here.
You'll do well in RV, just don't try and take on a group of villains. Stick to one or two and look for solo fights.
You'll be a lot better off if you have a hold in your epic set, but you'll still be very hard to kill.

Uhhh...what?
PvP in this game is almost purely Rock, Paper, Scissors. Set A will defeat Set B, but Set B will lost to Set A. This will be the case 90% of the time, unless the difference in skill level is monumental.
Ice/Ice tanks should be fine. You wont kill anyone quickly, but with Hibernate and Hoarfrost, itll take moree than a few to take you down.

The biggest issue I have is that I know I stand no chance vs. some ppl, and my damage output sucks compared to almost everyone else, thus the reasoning for grabbing the cataphract. My set is oriented around my def, so I figure I'll be fine, all my damaging attacks are single target, with Ice Patch and Frozen Aura to top it off with Freezing Touch and Block of Ice (my only epic power) that general combo usually lets me solo mass mobs most teams wouldn't dare approach. However, I know that means squat compared to real villians. As for Horafrost... uh... yeah... don't have it yet. I have focused my power priority on def/damage/first-up needs. I only have Permafrost (47) and Hrafrost (49) left to get, and have the 3 core Leaderships, Energy Absorbtion, Hibernate and Build Up as assists for my basics. Thanks for the input and suggestions, I'm not planning to pick fights, but knowing I'd stand a chance is reassuring.

When you do get Hoarfrost and some good IO sets, you will have a low chance of being defeated, specifically in a one on one. Ice tanks are notoriously difficult to pvp, but you won't be knocking too many people out of the park either. Just watch for doms in full domination, they have the ability to drop mez toggles, prolly your biggest threat there barring big teams of villians.
