well it all depends on what you are going against. usually my ra/el takes out most casters. then some war comes along and kills me.on crag missions it was nice to place a few traps on the revive spot so when they come back they take damage and are snared so we wipe through them.

Hehehe, gotta love traps.

I'd like to see some good PvP party layouts as well, some excellent and proven team builds would be pretty informative.

for the tomb of primevil kings ( or however spelt) it wasn't to bad with our 3 war/monks, 2 monks, 2 ra/el, and 1 mesmer el.
kinda basic build with some tanks and dps. not sure how experienced the players were tho. we got past the first pvp stage on the tomb (would call it 2nd level). our priest got killed while we were killing another team =/. guess we got a little careless. good idea to watch for him cause in the end he could have saved us alot

How do you lay a trap, is it somekind of skill? Ive heard of lying traps to kill enemy's but never saw them. I just know how you name your pet.... That says a lot about my lvl and experience dont it ;)

Hero Amun Ra --> Ele/Ran lvl 17
Sjaak --> Meleandru's Stalker lvl 16
Kitabatake Tomomori --> Ran lvl 5

Current Guild: HoeR -> Heroes of enchanted Realms
Hoer is also a Dutch word, try figuring out what that means XD

A good PvP character, in my opinion the best one is the Necro/Mesmer. You cant go wrong with theee 2 if you know how to use them and what skills you put in each of them, They are simply the best.

yeah, i hate those mesmers and necros lol. as a lvl 20 warrior (2nd proffesion was monk then switched to necro and cant get it back until i finish an impossible quest lol) the casters are the only things that seem to scratch me. and have won a 4vs1 and had a 40min 2vs1 until we decided to go to team arena and be on same side lol. a well experienced mesmer or necro that can use empathy and prince of failure will sink any warrior group imo

Yes I agree with you, not because I have my own Necro/Mesmar lol!, I do think if you want to have a fun PvP character, N/Mes is where it's at :)

Traps are a skill that rangers have. I think you set a trap, then if nothing triggers it in 90 seconds, it just goes off by itself.

I'm loving my R/E, but I haven't done any PvP yet, so I don't know how it would do.

I dont know Ranger very well, but is there a attribute you can make higher for your pets, or anything that makes them stronger?

You can upgrade beast mastery. that will up some things(not sure wich). Maybe someone knows?

Beastmastery makes your pet hit for more and increases his chances of criticaling, also it makes skills related to your pet better.

I have a lvl 15 pet with 2 mastery. To be hones he isnt much of a help. With my new archer im gonna try to collect a warthog there in old ascalon somewhere i heard.

ok i just wrote an article on my fave pvp character. i feel that this is the most well balanced character. with good armor and awsome damage dealing spells you can own almost anyone. using the necro attacks you can deal tons of damage with having to worry about armor of the enemy and the warrior skills gives you more attack power. worrying about health is also fvery rare because the necro skills will help you regen your health. well these are my thoughts.

Im just wondering if Ranger + pet and Necro + Animates would work out well, both of them putting attributes in beast mastery and death magic, do you think it would work great in roleplaying??

came up against a group today in hall of heroes, total ranger group, they used every decent spirit I've seen for ranger, totally wiped the floor with us. I was sad :P. but that group was insanely powerful, considering our group was pretty much flawlessly winning in HoH before we came up against them.
