since i got a new computer, and lost all my old builds, i set about recreating them to save. after doing about 10, i realized they failed to save becuase i dont have the location C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Templates\Skills\
there is no templates folder in my GW folder, so i made an empty one, and an empty skills folder in that. but it doesnt seem to work. any tips?

If you go into the game and just save what ever build you have on, it will create the folder you need. Then just save your build in there...should work I would think

I think, and i hope i am reading this correctly, that he did that, about 10 times but Guild Wars failed to save it at that current location. If that's true can you maybe post a screenshot of what Guild Wars gives as a reply. It usually tells it saved to C:/...... so i am wondering what it says on your end.
GGS is recruiting. Post a application here.

The only think that I can think of off the top of my head, is perhaps you dont have permission to create a file on your c: drive.....only way this could happen is if your user account has very limited permissions. If this were the case, it would mean GW is unable to create the file as it can only create it as the user thats logged in.

I totally Agree. You can try to create the folders yourself. But GW should normally create the folders the first time you save a template. Be it Skill or Equipment.

If you're on Vista your templates will save to 'My Documents' or similar.
Like that.

i am on vista, but the directory still says C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Templates\Skills\ when i go to save a build. is there some way i can change it?
also, i would post a screenie, but i seem to be having a similar problem there. when i try to take one it says the screenshot folder is full. but there is no screenshot folder, and when i made an empty one, it still wont work.
F@&% vista -.-

if alt = ctrl then ignore mistakes
