Let me know what you think: We have the report system for reporting abusers...why not also have a reward system in place for people that help others. Reading The Scribes random acts of kindness gave me the idea. Someone could type in /reward [player name] and they would be awarded one point in a "Helpful" title. Just give the title 2 levels, like the sweet tooth and drunkard titles.
Abuse: Ya some buddies will just sit there and spam it on each other, so make it to where a person can only reward another person once a month or once a week or whatever.

Wow, that's a great idea! =D
But ye, put a restriction on it, like you can reward the same person only once a day or something. But I like this idea!

I can imagine there being "Reward" guilds, and alliances, where everyone rewards everyone. So you would have to put a limit on something

True. I help guildies/alliance buddies and I would want them to be able to do the reward option.

And what if someone first helps you with a quest. Than does a mission and than another quest. Only 1 point isn't that much than =\
And you'll prob get ppl who abuse noobs saying if you give me a point I help you with mission and than leave, or something.
I like the idea though =D I try to be helpfull in games and it would be cool if you can get a reward for it! (more than "thank you"')

i think this should be a none maxable title, so that people can just see that you are a generally nice person and not just some other person desperate for more maxed titles

even if u put limits on it, almost everyone will have the same amount of points. hey i can get a new point, can u give me? yea sure..
I'd say each char gets 5 points to give.. in "x" time (id say lifetime for example) and see how much u can really get.

Very good idea and yes a restriction would probably be put on it as well as a anti abuse feature like ban/suspend for abuse if it is actually abused past the restrictions of once a month or whatever but good idea i like.

I say yes have it maxable. Who cares if someone maxes it. It'll take a long time to get to 10,000. Especially when you can only have a person do it once a day or even once a week.
Plus make a HoM trophy. You could have an old peasant walking across the road.

to impossble to do, never the less, a dumb idea. Think about the abuse...and do u really think Anet goes thru every report???
back ages ago i got reported for something done...
i counter report giving screenshots of legit threats, and abuse ect. Now i should have won that whole thing...insted Anet didnt even bother to look at it, cuz nothing happened on both sides.....
Not to mnetion ppl are to dishonoest about reported...
bottom line: i doubt it can happen
