| texmod idea (vanquishing) |

when vanquishing i get annoyed finding the last patrol so i was wondering if with texmod you can change the red dots to something that doesnt go away but stays on top of the compass similar to heroe's flags or quest markers. if it is possible it would be alot easier to vanquish because you would always know where every enemt is

thats a really good idea, im sick of searching out a patrol of the last 2-3 enemies in an area, but i belive it would be pretty hard to make a program to track an enemy patrol, perhaps setting a map that shows patrol routes and popup areas so you can sit back and wait for them to come to you, im not that knowlegeable in programming so im definately not the man for the job but perhaps someone could pull this off, seeing all the GW mods out there

Thats assuming that there is already something to identify enemies on the map already, right? My understanding of texmod is that you can't add to what we already have, only manulpulate.
Good idea and I hope you can get it going.

A great idea, but alas impossible.
What you're asking is for texmod to calculate and navigate the positions of all the enemies in the area, and track them with a red dot. Do you think a texture modification program can pull that off?
The best you can hope for is a collective summary of all mob locations and patrol routes branded onto the mini-map for each area. Possible, but would certainly take a lot of work.

Texmod can only change textures, red dot are textures, but locating them needs another type of 3rd party program.

Cant you change the red dots into very large red dots which are darker red in the middle.
It would be irritating while starting the area but you might start textmod up later.
Also: if the big red dots are transparant it would be more useful.
this way you just edit the red dots into big red dots so not adding something.
Note: I don't use textmod and i dont know if this is legal or possible.

You can't start using texmod if you are already using GW.
