| Blizzard Main Server Down? |

I don't know what happened, but me nor my brother can log onto WoW, or access anything Blizzard related. (Armory, account management, etc.)
The main site sais all the servers are up, but were still stuck at Authenticating. He's running Leopard on a Mac and im running XP on a Windows, so I don't think it has anything to do with our computers, or internet (obviously).
Anyone else stuck also?

lots of times the servers are up but the authentication server gets suck or goes down, so you can still play if you are already on but you cant get on if you arent already. It has happened to me tons of times. Used to get booted during a raid and authentication server was down, no more raid for dru lol
But yeah it happens sometimes, if you get stuck at authenticate either exit and try again and if you get stuck again its more than likely the server is down for a few minutes or something.

It's all up for me, but when i log in, the split second it says 'Success!' it says 'Disconnected from Server'. Doesn't even leave the log-in screen. Really starting to piss me off i've done everything.
Gonna call support real quick.
Omg, nm. Im such a dork. It was my firewall. XD

I'm having trouble even setting up a WOW account. I keep getting errors that are ill defined and suggest I try again later. It's not a problem logging in... I simply can't get far enough to register the recently acquired game.
Is this very common and how long will it remain like this?

Just like last night, the authentication server is down.
Looks like they are doing maintenance on it: WoW forum
Hopefully it will be back up soon.

This is actually somewhat common, but it is normally not the fault of blizzard but the fault of the person trying to set up the account.
Are you trying to use a gamecard? Make sure the gamecard is from a reputable source. It is possible it has already been activated somewhere.
Do you have the original World of Warcraft or did you just buy the expansion? If you want to play Burning Crusade you have to buy both the Original WoW and the expansion.
Are you entering all information correctly? Did you go to your email and get the confirmation email from Blizzard? Maybe it is in your spam box. You have to confirm your information with them for the account become active.
This is all I can think of at the moment. If you still cant make your account tell me exactly what it is telling you on the screen and maybe I can help. If not you can always call customer service. Blizzard does a good job with it normally.

I bought the game legit at a GameStop. (Special Black Friday deal. I'm such a sucker.) It eventually worked, and I am now the proud Momma of the cutest 5th level gnome warlock you've ever seen.
