Who has the PS3 ?

I was planning to buy the PS3 40gb edition, because there is almost no more 60GB in the stores. But i need to know some opinions of PS3 Users. Is it fun to play ? Friendly in menu's and .... ?.

Because i don't want to pay 400euroes for maybe a piece of shit xD.

I haven't heard much about it, nor have I seen more than one game that looks appealing to me. I think it is similar to when the PSP came out, kool new thing, however, not much to do with it. Wish I coulda been more help.

you could try 360 :) it has an amazing set of games out and 08 looks real good with: Prototype, Fallout 3, Rise of the Argonauts, Too Human, and more. go look those up they look amazing. 360's game output is definitely better. although if it is a factor Xbox live cost around $5 a month and playstations online (forget the name) is free.
don't know ne thing bout ps3 so thats my alternative.

buy a Wii!!!! I got one when it came out with redsteel and excite truck, was good but to be honest we played Wii sports (the game that coems free with it) more than the actual games,

But yesterday i bought Resident evil 4 (which i have on gamecube also) aswell as Metroid Prime 3:corruptions which is just plain awsome and paper mario Wii which just also owns... so much fun to play.. kiss your thumbs (and any vases you amy have in your living room) goodbye

Still if you really want a PS3 they are awsome too :D

wii is a solid system, especially with RE4, and super smash bros brawl, i just dont like how half of the marketed games are for casual gamers, theres less choice for true gamers so it can be annoying. but definitely good system and the cheapest of the 3. (wi fi internet feature is sick)

The Playstation 3 looks like a promising console in the near future like within the next year with Metal Gear Solid 4 coming out and Killzone 2. If it's something that is interesting you then research the upcoming games and current games to see if it's appealing to you. If not then look at the games on both the 360 and Wii to see if they have a better lineup for your liking.

I have all the 3 next gen console and i play most on the PS3 or 360 Ps3 has assassin's creed and MGS 4 and other good games. btw, CoD4 on ps3 is awsome

I thought about buying a PS3, might get one when it is a bit cheaper and there are some better PS3 exclusives.

I do have a 360 and a Wii and can tell you that both are great, for different reasons though - for instance xbox live is great, and the Wii being great for the casual gamer. So yeah both are great.

I wouldn't say that for one...its for both systems (PS3 and 360) and Mass Effect is better in both overall reviews and my opinion.

i got all 3 systems.
the ps3 looks promising but the wii is for more solid at this point now cuze alot of powerfull releases will come soon. the only games on ps3 who intrest me are heavenly sword and assasins creed though my opinion

im gettin a PS3 soon. and assassins creed. amazing game. been reading reviews and everything about that game since it was in development over a year ago. mate just got it on 360 and its amazing lol.
But im a playstation man so im going for the ps3 looks cool, has blue ray. very similar to 360 getting same games (give or take) and no subion to online so has my vote all the way :)

Every decent playstation 3 game is out on another console IMO. Sony has lost most of their exclusive franchises as well so they will not even come out on PS3.

I wouldnt get one if I were you, if you want decent games get a 360 or a Wii.

just my opinion on it.

lol true I suppose.
The only problem with it is that all of the games that are coming out for it is coming on for the 360 except for Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4 which wouldn't push me to buy one except if it gets cheaper.

overall 360 is a better console. Yeah the PS3 has the blueray but it has all the same games the 360 has and the exclusive games arent that good imo. I'd rather be playing Halo and stuff on my 360 than a PS3. For gaming, 360 is more bang for your buck. The PS3 internet is shit too. I'd rather pay for Xbox Live since the connection and stuff like the Marketplace pays for itself compared to PS3 where the internet is so incredbly laggy. I've played PS3 countless time at my friends house and usually when you play something at your friend's house you want it but I really don't see what the 360 doesn't have that would u spend more for on a PS3 except the blueray.

DONT buy a xbox 360:
-has a 90% chance of breaking down within the first 2 years(profen, fact!)

-it doesn't play HD dvd's, you need to buy an external for 200 dollar. the ps3 has integrated blue ray player

-you have a huge external power suply, like really big.

-the game are ATM better, but the xbox is 1 year older. so it had more time to get games.

conclusion: if you want to buy a game console now: buy a xbox 360, sell it in a year, and buy a ps3 for the money, but if you want to be cheapest out, buy a ps3

ps: eventually everyone buys the console with the most fun games for him. PS was always king of rpg's(final fantasy, kingdom hearts, dragon quest etc etc(i know nintendo has zelda and mario)). so just look at the GAMES not at the console!!

The huge external power supply is big for a reason and thats.... to supply power huh weird.
The xbox 360 regular console and elite both can have 2 games included which are both great games with a extra controller so it sorta defeats your point.
The 90% is sorta high, don't you think? Besides if it does break, it has a 3 year warranty so I won't have to buy a new one if it does break, I don't think you can say that about the PS3. My 360 elite hasn't broken at all or froze or anything because I take care of my investment.

i have 1 and gears of war is awesome still, only console game i still enjoy after more than a year :)

I'd noticed the argument has gone to how PS3 has blue-ray, yeah, screw blue-ray, I have yet to see a single difference in the quality of the movie.
