haha, i can give you tons :P i live in london so theres always plenty of it.
- Traffic
- Some areas may be overcrowded (public transport)
- Crime (if your an obvious tourist you may be targeted by pickpockets etc)
Those are just a few off the top of my head.

atm i got this:
I think tourism is a bad thing, cause they speak foreign languages wich u can’t understand. They make alot of rubbish at the places they have been, specially at the forest and the beach. Also if they come from another country they might ride on the wrong side of the road wich can cause to accidents.
How does it look? Hows the spelling? Would it be good if i would produce it like this in class?
give me few more hints i can put in it :D

Euhm selling your culture to multinational companinies (like giving your soul to the Devil for a donut).
The same multinational companies come to the country and build up hotels and such for tourists. Ofc they give jobs for the natives but most of the incomes goes abroad.
If it's a party place or a beach, you'll be getting alot of upper class spoiled kids coming up and acting like they're something better than the rest.

Whats wrong with forgien languages? It brings more diversity into the world, which seems pretty cool to me.

'Sort of' is such a harmless thing to say. Sort of. It's just a filler. Sort of - it doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, sort of means everything. Like after 'I love you' or 'You're going to live' or 'It's a boy.'

There isn't anything wrong with a foreign language, nor is there a problem with people speaking their own language to their friends or family of the same language.
But what i feel a problem is when someone speaking a foreign language comes up to a random person and starts speaking german or spanish (FOR EXAMPLE). I find it rude and offensive, its like assuming any random person knows what you are saying and you expect them to respond in an orderly fashion yet you speak something completly different which is the language of your homeland and someone from another country with a different language just started talking to you and expecting you to respond.
Thats what i have a problem with.
My 2 Cents.

sure tourism can crowd places up but as for driving on the wrong side of the road? you make it sound like everyone from a foreign country is a Neanderthal barely capable of scribbling their lives on the walls of caves. Also, you need to realize that Americans go to foreign countries all the time. When we're there we're the outsiders speaking a foreign language. And not all tourism is international. I could be considered a "tourist" when my family goes on vacation to Virginia Beach every 4th of July. Yet i still speak English, don't spew garbage everywhere, and certainly don't drive on the wrong side of the road

I find "tourism" to be a simple form of immigration and in most cases. Immigration is bad for our country or any country at that. Taking one idea and trying to fit other ideas with it is one of the many things that is making our country a s***hole.
Freedom should come with a price. The price = We all have the ability to be ignorant. Yet we MUST NOT be so ignorant. immigration & tourism brings new things to ignorance. In other words, immigration & tourism takes the idea of freedom and stretches it beyond the line that America has set. Make sense? :D

-In dry regions, hotels sometimes use almost all the water for the tourists etc so the locals have even less.
-It's a fact that tourists often break the law because they think they can't get punished, wich often is so
edit: maybe change your first argument to something like
"the different languages can lead to misunderstandings"

That's not so true.
Their is diplomatic immuty and such BUT not to long ago I had the chance to read an interresting article 'bout it...
A person from my country went to Cuba and during their stay the only means of vehicle she could get was one of those crappy things which, according to their, is called a car...
The brakes were mallfunctioning and during a very strong storm the person in question had to make an urgeunt ride for the family she was staying with (yes, she was even helping the family from which she was staying with)
But because of the poor state of the roads the car started slipping and crashed into an old man driving his bike on the way home.
The accident had huge media coverage in Cuba self and the judge felt such a high pressure on him (and she was foreign and we all know the political situation in Cuba regarding foreigners).
She know has to stay their for 4 years on house arrest, even though she doesn't have a house their...
On-topic: Sometime's tourist will not respect the culture or behavior of the people from the country they are visiting.

in such cases that's true, but i was thinking in the line of parking tickets etc.
this often causes a lot of paperwork between countries so most of the time these things get ignored and thus unphunished.
edit: also, mass tourisme causes historic sites and buildings etc to get damaged. floor's that get worn out, corosion caused by gases from cars and the likes

I'm all for tourism and immigration. From an economic standpoint only good things come because of it. As in, it's easier for us to sell our junk to visiting people because it's something they can take home with them and show their families.

That right there, to me, regardless of where you live, is the biggest problem. If a tourist is disrespecting another country/culture, they should never be able to obtain a visa to go to Antarctica, even. Period. I've never been out of the US, regretably. I wanna travel abroad and my wife and I have plans on doing just that in the near future. I took French in HS (almost a decade ago, but that's beside the point) and feel I could hold a conversation, albeit poorly. And French is spoken in many countries, so I might be okay. I think if someone is really passionate about traveling, they need to know at least SOMETHING about the culture/country/region they will be visiting.
I grew up listening to my father gripe about persons not being able to speak English, but even he couldn't be grammatically correct or enunciate properly. Oh, how this world is so funny.....
But, anywho, that's my 2 cents worth of ideas.

I personally don't hate Tourism. I just find the idea to be to hurtful. Take for a starting example. Differences leading to arguments and then ultimately, death.
So if we can't seem to ever get along, then why would bringing new ideas from other religions or cultures benefit?
It doesn't.
With tourism though, people don't bring culture with them when they tour. But, they do take culture back to their home.
An example: Ever since we started this war against terrorism and sent our troops to Iraq and that side of the world. We gained more input. From making movies about that culture to bringing back Hookahs and making the Hookah life more popular down here.
However, if terrorism never struck us and we never went to war on that side of the world. Then our knowledge on that culture would be extremely low now and days. Which it isn't...case & point. I mean, we're not exactly tourists in Iraq. But our soldiers are still bringing back their culture to they're homes or family...whatever.
So I just think tourism should be limited. Let all different cultures do their own thing. Quit merging...

they are funny
some mature tourist pair once asked me for directions and i sent them to the other side of the island
then there also was when this chinese tourist guy asked me about this palm tree, and i told him he can eat those fruits that grow there, he actually ate them and became all red in the face, allergy or something...i ran like hell o.O

^^^OH SHI...that's messed up.
Anyway, I'm so used to tourists, living in New York City and all. I actually like them. They add some life to my trip to college and back everyday. Some of the foreign ladies aren't too bad looking either.

because of tourism a lot of the normally quiet places get overcrowded and some places simply can't handle that, a lot of ''raw nature'' suffers because a lot of tourists wants to see the jungle or whatever, and the animals and plants that live their will slowly die or move away because of the constant tourism, and when everything there is gone the tourist simply goes hunting for another piece of raw nature, and another and another..
not that i am one of those hardcore nature lovers but i just think that you can't call it raw nature when your in a tourist bus..
plz clickzors, i need t3h viewz !
