Has Confuse/Deceive changed in PvP?

Has there been a change in the way Confuse and Deceive operate in PvP zones when used on players (not npc) in the last few issues?

Seems like when my Ill/Storm hits with a Deceive (I see the purple floating globes and I don't get the "missed" message), the affected villian seems to be able to continue to attack. Maybe not attack me, but attack nonetheless. Previously, the villian couldn't attack any enemies when hit by Deceive and in fact would only be able to attack friendly targets.

Have any 'trollers noticed any changes?

(BTW, if you're PvPer and you've got a 40+ toon, RV is way more fun than the other PvP zones! Go HEAVIES!!!)

It randomizes the targeting, anyone on screen for the player is likely to be attacked, just randomizes who they hit

Exactly that. And a skilled PvPer will be able to focus his targeting on you by use of his camera angles and auto follow. It's a right royal pain in the arse, but it can be done. I wouldn't count on Deceive/Confuse powers to help against anyone other than an MM. Confuse an MM, and his pets will see him as an enemy. Goodbye Bodyguard, hello dead MM. =D

This doesn't appear to what I've experienced from the Hero side. The few times I been "confused", all enemy targets that were targetable, turned blue and I couldn't target any of them. There didn't seem to be anything random about it. Conversely, all friendly targets that were previously blue became red and I could target each and everyone of them (and unfortunately I did!).

However, it doesn't seem to behave this way lately. Has there been a change to this "random" targeting?

From when I've been confused, I've noticed that it sometimes will leave some enemies as red and some friendlies as blue.

But you can still attack regardless.

Half right, (i think i explained this in another thread) pets on bodyguard mode will attack a MM IF he has attacked them in some way. This means ANY damage, ANY debuff (and yes there is quite a lot a MM will use) and the pets react the same way as if they were attacked by an enemy.

Also dont forget leadership power Tactics cant resist confuse until its stacked plus the player could be packing break frees (hard to tell in the heat of battle). But all in all an Ill/storm troller is an excellent choice for soloing a MM. =)
