Current Farming spots!

Well, I've been farming a bit here and there but haven't really found any farm that's profitable anymore...
'In the old days' we GW addicts could still make money via farming but these days I just can't find a decent farm to get money from! Is ANet going to bore us with non-profitable-farming until GW2 comes out? O.o I know there are still lots of stuff to do still but having lots of money will be hard for many people... And you got to admit it's fun having hundreds and hundreds of K's in your storage O.O

So discuss what you think is the 'modern farming spots' and about the farming nerf ANet did (drop rate thingy). IMO the farm nerf ruined a big thing. Also discuss about the old farming spots where you guys still make quite a profit :))

One of the farming spots I've been doing that gives me good stuff (2-4 gold items/run) is the Halcyon Job farm. clicky

I don't really farm. If I do, its usually just Hulking Elementals with my assassin.

Nice video BTW. I'll have to try that farm spot.

In EOTN there is a dungoen called fronis irontoe lair do it in hard mode then there can drop nice max golds tomes elite tomes and its very easy as u cant die. My best rune was 2 black dyes and 1 elite warrior tome :P

A couple of guildies and I are learning to do the dual 55/SS UW farm. We keep wiping but we're getting better. If you get one ecto to drop it pays for a few runs down there.

Anyways @ Retro777, IMO it's 100% better to do Smite/600 in UW. It's much safer, so you don't need to waste 1k each time :)
600/smite I've done lots of money with this as the mighty duo of Sister and Brother Fork!! xD

my freind used to do HM deso culd get 4-5 golds an hour and max too. came to me twelve from 2 hours!.
that and its recommended full group but its possible to do with less.

Currently I enjoy the farm at nolani in hard mode. It is really easy with an earth ele. just put up enchants, ward of stability and sliver amour and the char go down like there is no tomorow.

actually, one of the most profitable farming areas for me is chest running witmans folley i can make 100k daily depending on the drops(set of 50 picks usually nets me a profit of 15-20k)

o yes i almost forgot...back in the day Ettin Pauldron farming was where you could always find me...but then again thats when supp vigors were 60-100k and supp absorption were about the same...now both are a dime a dozen :-/

You can allway's farm the Hydra's and Griffon's with an old 55HP SS Necro.

Good raw moneydrops and a few Golds...

i still do bergen, GoK, and 1st city on my monk. and hydras on my necro. im also a huge fan of the 5 man SS/LB farm in the desolation. decent drops, tons of ss/lb pints, and if you get a good group its a fun time

We can continue doing the 600/Smite in uw... only problem is that you refuse to tank, and the drop rate of ectos at smites is soo low.... Will be better now that you've promised to tank 2 times in a row now (even though i have done it like 100 times now...). Hope we get ecots if we are going to farm there.. U can do the 1st city 2... I got loads of money there, u do remeber that don't you?? If u want much money fast u can always farm at ebay :P

Another thing i have to fix when i notice it tomorrow...

I used to do GoK with 55 a few months ago, when the drops were very nice (about 5-7 goldies in 15 min) and u could get about 300k in 6 days farming, but that were the good old days, i don't know were to farm now though.

If i need money, i run people in the Cathdral of Flames. Mostly i ask 3K per person. It's very easy. I run a 600 build and i take Gwen as smiter. Usually get about 5K loot and 6*3=18K fornthe running and it takes less than an hour.

My friend and i 600/Smite and 55/SS, I also do the W/Rt UW solo, i pretty much make all my money in ectos.

Also when i farm ectos i NEVER farm in ToA, I don't know why but i always get really bad drops there.

now i mostly do 600/smite in cathedral of flames on HM with a hero, you get a couple of golds and full inventory of items and murkais chest! also the quest gives 1.5K every time you complete it and its reapetable!!

I made you a map.

come out of remains of sahlahja heading south
1 : get Un-dead hunt
2 : get wurms
3 : Margonite hunt
4 : double back get Ele hunt
5 : go down to get Mangador hunt
6 : clear as much as you don't have to get out of your wurm (much) to clear(ish).

Drops are not as good cause your in a wurm but I fill one bag
and tend to get a gold every run sometimes a rune or two.
normally end up with 1-2 plat each run in hm if you bring
keys you may do better.
