arena fun

This was tossed about briefly a while back so here goes.

Logistics on throwing an arena type event?

We would need at least 4 teams to throw a quick double elim event, who would commit?

What servers would be available for this?

Utcomp arena or TAM?

Time frame, do this over a few quick nights, or let people play as they go and just grab an admin?

Now before the “arena is sucks and ass for noobs” starts, this isn't meant to be uber competitive, it's just for fun.

Anyways post your thoughts.

Re: arena fun

lol

notes, we could do up to 8 teams. 4 and 8 are the easiest numbers for us to do straight brackets (double or single). So it depends on how many want to play. As for map list... standard GGL TDM maps should work, unless there is some map thats a gem for arena that I don't know about.

Re: arena fun

you can fuck a sheep many times, but only steal his virginity once

EDIT

on a side note, we need one more...

If anything the caliber of teams here is great now. x6, grav, lob, we need one more good team and we can have a kick ass event to show off arena games.

Re: arena fun

My vote is for TAM, but UTComp's arena mode is pretty cool too, so I'll play either way. I just need a team to do it on. Any team looking for a fairly experienced TAM player, please PM me and I'll be glad to join you for this event.
