Hey!
My first build, so please rate it.
The Build
So what do we have here? A Ranger build which is designed for dealing instant damage. The role of this build is just to do damage. You are not interrupter, neither support.
This build relies of heavy energy use and lots of attack skills.
Pros:
-Damage
-High energy usage
Cons:
-Interrupting
-Doesn't take main role of ranger in mission party
-Extremely killable with blindess
Attributes:
12+2 Expertise
12+2 Marksmanship
Rest of points for beast mastery.
*Note* You really need to do both attribute point quests.
Equipement:
Major rune of expertise
Minor rune of marksmanship
Rune of Major Vigor
Marksmanship mask (any armor)
Any armor you want energy is not problem
*Note*You can change the runes as you wish but this is for low budget players
Skills
Marksmans wager (Elite)
Precision shot
Screaming shot
Penetrating shot
Sloth hunter shot
Savage shot or distracting shot whichever pleases you.
Charm animal/Antidote signet
Ressurection skill
Tactics
First of all, your whole build relies of marksmans wager. You get +9 energy on each successful hit. You can constantly spam your attack skills. And since you have 14 marksmanship, 14 expertise and good bow, your attack deal huge loads of damage. i.e Your Sloth hunter shot can deal 100 damage on lvl 24 foe, if that foe ain't using any skills.
The bad thing is, if someone blinds you while you are on marksman wager, you will lose 10 energy on each hit. That's why can take antidote signet. Your pet is only for tanking, if party has good warrior its not too useful. Of course you can rely on monks or take antidote signet as any other skill.

its good but i still think a burning arrow ranger can deal more damge :)
for example:
expertise 11+1+3
markmanship 10+1
wilderness survival 10+1
r/mo
distracting shot
*burning arrow*
screaming shot
point blank shot
appply poison
troll ungeunt
mending touch
res sig or hard res (depending on what your up to :))
good e-management, damage output and degen plus no need to worry about conditions on yourself :)
p.s splinter barrage still works great imo ^^

Yes, i have actually used almost same build. But i found it ate too much energy from me :(
Thou apply poison would work great with my build.

Meh, I hate using Apply Poison with Burning Arrow and Screaming Shot. Why? I hit max degen with the burning and bleeding. I find the poison to just be overkill. BTW, I use kindle. Not only is it cheaper, but the -20 dmg per hit isn't too bad either (compared to an extra -4 degen).

burning is only for 4 seconds so its to keep a constant degen on your foe, plus you need the extra degen if you are unlucky enough to cross a wammo! mending ftw :P

Heh, I dunno, by the time I'm fighting anything higher than 60 AL, the rest of my team would be jumping the same person. If the person runs, that's where my Natural Stride kicks in OR Pin Down (and the bleeding as a cover condition). Burning Arrow has a short recharge so I could keep the Burning Arrow up most of the time. Besides, I enjoy seeing -20s pop up quickly while using Reflexes.

Im sorry to say but just improve his build instead of just naming a commonly used burning arrow..
Hes trying to find a different build so improve that instead of just throw his idea away and give the BA build..

Yopur realing on damage from attacks for your build. SO first of all....
1. Try using the preperation + Prepared Shot combo.
2. so pick a marksmanship prep such as "Disrupting Accuracy", "Rapid Fire" or "Read the Wind".
3. Then as a second skill grab "Prepared Shot".
4. Next I would completely max out your marksmanship to as much as you can hit. So making markmanship 16 (superior rune+helm). THEN: Grab a nice Horn bow that has a "20/20 Sundering" mod plus a "Marksmanship +1 20% chance" mod. After all that you'll be at maximum amount of damage you could do plus maximum amount chance to critical.
