Well, I decided to open a Zaishen Chest, and I got a r9 Legendary Sword. I was pretty happy, and I was just wondering, what kind of other drops people have gotten from this chest.

I've spent about 6 keys worth. I've got 2 flasks, couple of normal tomes, a Q13 diamond shield (crap) and an elite necro tome. That's it so far.

You can get a key for 5000 balthazar faction or 5tournament points. You get the key from the Tournament guy in your gh or in Temple of Balthazar. They chest is in the isle of the nameless, on top of stairs in southwest corner(i think) just hold down alt and look toward your left and up after exiting

friend got r9 crystaline first time he opened. i cried and called him many things
i've purchased around ~50 keys and only gotten crappy gold items, creme brulèes, flasks, lockpicks, etc...best thing i gotten were r12 and r13 runic blades -.-

again anet implements an easy to get to easy to acquire object that drops UBER SUPER RARE 1337 items that lose all ther status because everyone and their grandma can get them. Here's a list of objects that drop from this chest....
Crystalline
Dwarven axe
Eternal blade
Stygian reaper
Voltaic spear
Silverwing Recurve Bows
Elemental sword
Zodiacs
Legendary sword
Runic Blade
All items that were worth something and now are quickly eing driven down. when will anet learn they are messing up their own economy? my answer is when it's too late. they wont realize that everything is worthless until a 500 gold is all it takes to buy an ecto and everybody is running around with fissure armor. seriously what pisses me off the most is eternal blades dropping from it. they have been around for what, 1 month? and they were only dropping from 1 source, one source that actully took work to get to. nd now allu have to do is RA with some mindless idiots and a cookie cutter build and BAM u have one of the so called "rarest" weapons in the game. there is no incentive to even do Deep urgoz or UW/FoW clearing anymore besides a little crappy statue in the Hal of monuments.

Right now it doesn't mean anythign to have rare weapons unless they ae rare with retarded stats (ie req 8 crystalline sword +15^50 non inscribable or req 7 Mursaat hammer +5 energy). FoW armor is always gonna be somewhat prestigeous beacause of the work you have to put in to get it. You have to complete a long series of quests you need 60-75k to just pay for it to be crafted then you need the materials. Even if ectos shoot to barely anything it's still a lot of money.

my friend was probly one of the first people in GW to get a r10 stygian(he paid about 3 mil, first one he found on guru). Now r10 stygians are 100k+30e b/o. Now is that fair?

Thats how things go though. I got a req 9 shadow axe the day it came out and it sold for 50k came back on the next day I was lucky to sell it for 10k...

no thats not fair, BUT! u can't expect a 3 mil item to gain or stay at the same value.. it can't go anywhere else than down.
so a bit of his own fault ;)

I've used 30 keys... Here's basically the highlight of my Zaishen chest experience. Got a few high req. golds, a few tomes, a couple lockpicks, and a truck load of consumables... Strange how you can keep opening the chest multiple times in one go as long as you have a key for each attempt...

Ye but the halls chest used to require actual skill to get to (not so much anymore unfortunately) and gave rare stuff that u cld only get there. Anyone can RA to 5k faction and get a chance at a crystalline or stygian now.

Ye but the halls chest used to require actual skill to get to (not so much anymore unfortunately) and gave rare stuff that u cld only get there. Anyone can RA to 5k faction and get a chance at a crystalline or stygian now. |
And there is a 100% chance that you will get a high dollar item. There is about a 33% to just get a gold item with these chests. probably something like a 2% chance to get a high dollar item.
