-20 Credit?

Ok so yeah just a bit ago I logged onto GA right? Yeah shows me I have 142 credit? Earlier today I logged on and had 162 credit. If anyone knows WHY I got negative cred please tell me.

If I were you I'd go to the latest posts I made and look what rating they got, if you see one of them got a -10, maybe you should think through what you wrote there

And the rating system is anynomous for a reason. If the one who rated you negatively wanted you to know who he was, he would've posted about it on the thread you got your negative cred.
Making a thread about getting negative cred usually doesn't help much,I'm afraid.

Since when was having cred that important? Pretty sure it doesnt make me believe what people say any more than i would without a cred system.

I did when there was that huge thing when everyone received negative credit, I thought someone said they'd be banned if they were to use negative credit.

I didn't know people actually cared about the credit system. Let no-one take individual offence, but in all honesty I really don't give a **** what a bunch of people think of my posts and how the 'cred' them - it means nothing.

Regardless, I stand corrected and remain amazed.

well i have 0 ced here so i think i would be worse off if i lost 20. anyway its probly cause u put some obscure racial slur or somthing and on person told all of thier friends to rank it badly. sorta like a gw mafia

I found the neg cred it was about bio shock being better than gw someone got upset when you consoled another poster. im thinking it has to be an admin. tho i might be wrong i drop 10-30 cred occasionally because someone is petty personally if i say something like gw < life someone gets a bee in their bonnet and drops my cred... you know what drop me 600 points as slim shady once said i just dont give a sh**
ps i lost over 200 cred since i started posting because of "little things that aren't worth mentioning" petty stuff FTW!

You shouldn’t worry about it. There are a few people on here that unless what you have to say agrees with their line of thought they are going to negative you.

I call it the "BMOF-LMIRL" syndrome. AKA Big Man On Forum-Little Man In Real Life You see, you get people on forums like this, who in their real life are actually quite the....hmmmmm...what’s a good word...okay....Whimps. So they come to places like this, where the anonymity of the internet allows them to feel "tough" so to speak. What they don't realize is that nobody gives a **** about them here either.

we had a credit abuse situation that is still being monitored closely. Credit will not be reawarded in the future though because it takes too long for me to award it all one person at a time.

As for admins giving negative credit. I have to say I never give negative credit to anyone unless they are outright flaming. So it definately wasnt me. If i find more people abusing the credit system however they will be banned perminantly, it may be anonymous to you but I can see everyone's credit history what they have awarded or subtracted from people and what has been awarded to him. Just a word to the wise if I were you I would stop giving negative credit to people.

well dru its in the rant and rave section under "banned lol" and I gave him some +cred as I felt his post was a consolation to a player who was banned. Sacrifice is a form of honour you have my respect deno.

IMO the ability to give Negative credit should be removed. As far as I know, only people with high credibility and staff can give negative cred, but it still seems to get abused.

I can't monitor the credibility system, but it sorta made me wonder when some guy here asked for help with tanking or something, then this other guy gave him a helpful (imo) post. I saw the thread and thought oh well, let's give this guy some cred for helping a mate out. I gave him 10 and suddenly I noticed he was down to -3. Then I thought I'd rate another one of his posts to cover up the loss with an equal amount but that post was also down to -3.

I don't know how many of you give a rat's buttocks about the credibility system, but I don't think anyone should be given negative credibility for trying to help a guy out. After all, isn't one of the main uses of forums to give/get help with whatever issues one might have?

I think getting negative credability on your post gets your attention, even if you don't care about cred you still notice a member with high credability or staff member (I think?) probably got offended but what you wrote, and perhaps you'll express yourself diffrently the next time.

However if it is as it seems, it's getting abused, but since Dru can see who gave who cred/-cred, most likely it won't continue for long if someone just gives it for fun

EDIT: I finally actually ran into the Bioshock post, and it was in a Rant & Rave topic, so I really would've just ignored it. I would occasionally rate a similar post under a topic in other forums.

Negative cred for flaming seems appropriate to me, especially if fellow flamers had given a high rating to the post in agreement, and continued to flame on there own. Otherwise, the 0 rating seems like enough for posts that just aren't, well... 'all there'.

I agree, I give 0s out to people who are just spamming topics, though it doesnt seem to happen much anymore. I also give 0s to people i just dont agree wtih if the argument isnt good. If you give a good argument then hell Ill give you credit for it even if i hate it.
