What are the best ranger pets ?

jsut wonderin which ranger pet is the best i haved a black moa (called Rocky Balmoa) just wondering wwhat yall think of the subject

hmmm that would b cool to have a boat lol or actually let us go on boats and notut clik on the map icon of the boat to travel to places like cantha to tyria ;)

Rainbow Phoenix, best pet out there. It is bigger than any average character out there.

Small pets are my favorite. From Warthogs to spiders. Something small that wont get body blocked.

hate the ghostly phoenix things, they're too big...always block ur vision ~~ last night i fought vs these lame idiots in TA with 3 thumpers and all 3 had those huge chicken phoenixes...i couldn't interupt any resses because i was body+visiually blocked by em

id say go for albino rat!

There is no "best pet" they are all the same besides the bear which has a skill.

To elaborate on this, the skill makes the bear attack slower than normal for the same amount of damage. Therefore, the bear is the worst pet. All of the rest are equal.

I just Love my White Moa I had a real hard time getting it(really bad luck) but now I have it everybody compliments me in ToPK while where doing Tombs

My favourite pet is the Dune Lizard or the Black Moa.
About the size of pets, in PvE I don't care.
But in PvP, I just faced an IWAY/Zergway in HA with all 5 warriors a Rainbow Phoenix (lvl20) so way to big.
They kept bodyblocking everything :P
Still won ^^ IWAY ftl :P

Bears are the worst and certain pets do different types of damage but there is no best pet.

My favorite pet is the Factions Phoenix. He looks awesome like a peacock mixed with an eagle or something. After that the ole alligator floats me boat.

About the hog, I think harry plopper would be a better name.

My favorite pet is the crocodile, it's what my ranger has. After that, I'd say rainbow phoenix, because I love the big pets.

i got black bears for all my paragon t00ns & heroes, hoping anthems (chants) that applied to 'next attack by allies' would trigger on Brutal Mauling, boy was i disappointed.

warthogs do slashing damage sorry to dispel the myth
best pet depends on the type of damage and what your fighting.

so technically there should be no best pet but some
spider, lizard, croc, pheonix do piercing damage (the rest as far as I understand are slashing).

Lets clear something up piercing damage does not have inherent armer penetration!
Some creatures have a vulnerability to one or the other some armers have a mod against piercing (I think bonelace)
personally I prefer slashing damage for pve.
plants dont like peircing
some un dead don't like piercing.

I don't know about pet attack speed have however if there is a difference in attack speed the skills you use may be impacted by a faster attack speed barbs order of apostasy ect.
