MY RA RANT!!!! (thats not a studder)

So, purely in the name of science i went to RA. I have heard a bunch of people complaining about how it has been, more or less, "noobified". And indeed it has. I also havent been there in a while so i checked it out. Take time to read this before posting.

Did 5 matches. Ship teams. No monks. No wins. No kills even.

So then i mingled with the RA community. Began with a simple nuetral "GOD RA HAS BEEN NOOBIFIED TO THE MAX!!" or something along those lines.

Then this one guy with less experience than an anorexic at an eating contest says, "You need to learn how to play more." And that set me off. I went on a full on tirade (frenzy of metaphorically "blowing up") He said I needed to learn how to counter. Everything.

Now, being a mainly pve'er, i do the occasional AB/HA with my friends. I used to do RA until NF came out. When it got lame. I usually ran a Poison/Daze Ranger build or I would go with my SF nuker. Just cause.

This guy not to post any names, cause i cannot remember, said that Touch Rangers are the best. Now, you and I and small starving children in the Congo know that Touchers are lame, hated, easy to counter, are overall, teh sux0rz. Then i explained to him, well attempted to, that touchers really do suck. He said he could counter a nuker with blind. I laughed and called him a noob.

Then after some other people piped in, Jimbo, our experimental subject, said "A Bonder, a Healer, and 2 55 monks is the best RA team ever". I had to explain to him that this wouldn't work. All you need is two wars to pressure the healer/bonder, dont bother with the 55's and have a person with a life steal skill, i.e. Vamp Touch/Bite/Gaze/Blood of the Aggressor/etc.

Then someone said how they hated NF and Dervs, cause they are too overpowered. (This is a lie, dervs are easy to kill.) I said that. Then I said i like playing a paragon. Someone piped in that paragons suck. Its true, but they are funner (not a real word i know) than dervs.

Then some little puke said that dervs are the best and can kill anything, via this. AoM + 3 attack skills = dead. (his basic equation), i countered with mes with this Echo(s) empathy, degen = gg dead. Go necro with Gaze of Contempt for Enchants.

Then i made what is apparently the sin of sins, and said mes's are the best class ever. (a universal truth) they can shutdown just about anything. And they went off on me faster than a fat kid on a twinkie.

Then Jimbo bashed wiki. Which is a general rule of thumb, that you don't do it. He said that wiki has too many builds that people use. He didnt mean pvx, cause he mentioned that later. I commented on how people use cookie cutter builds and the creativity factor in RA is pretty much negative.

Then we started talking about something off topic and it kinda died down.

This took about 1 hour of my life to conduct. I could have contracted their epic-failitis. But i made it out unscathed. Bottom line: The rumors are true. RA is noobified. Its pathetic and emberrassing. It used to take skill, now it takes pvxwiki.com. I hate it. I demand a recount!

P.S. wouldn't it be funny if someone on GWAMP was that jimbo char? i would lol so hard.
P.P.S. On a scale of 1 to 10 how old do you think micheal jacksons boyfriend is?

ok dude i got a few things to say to you yes ra has encountered alot of newbs recently but we all started off as newbs so give em a break and DON`T ON A RANT. THIS IS ANOYING to alot of people theres why alot of people firght back like you did so if ure at ra and somone is talking about some charrs being the best for ra dont disagree ask him why he thinks so then politly give your opinion but don`t go on a rant you just end up people ignoring you.ill tell you how to avoid being sent into a rant.

.enter a match as soon ans you lose
.stop playing ra if you get mad
ok this is why i dont use local chat for bascily anything anymore in pvp because so many people argue fighting back is just as bad and not to ofend you but by arguing about professions to him your doing the same thing being noobish not newbins ut noobish

Yes, RA has become noobified. Many crap builds, hardly any monks and so many noobs. There are two kinds of noob in this world: Quick learning (noobs) and slow learning. It seems people are more slow than fast.

Too bad I've never known good RA. I always get horrible teams, and have never had a 5 game streak.

The lack of Rez Sigs is getting more prominent. Sometimes my teammates may even have rez but choose not to use it because "there was no need." Dumb fudges, they piss me off to no end.

The "DunT run nub" sayers are getting annoying now. The monk ignoring is starting to happen more. "Oh look a monk, let's attack the war."

I saw a necro using all bow skills with ignite arrows once.

Hmm, what else? OH, there are more assclowns coming in with one profession making it all the more obvious that they suck. Also, many times when I finally obtain a monk, he/she's a smiter. Come on, they need to think. Unless they're putting out damage like no tomorrow, they'll die...end of story. They'll be aimed at first since the other team's not aware of their smiteliteness.

I see more fools running into a crowd of spirits or just running into a crowd in general.

You know what, you're right. There are a million times as much idiots as there were before.

Ra has always been one of the lowest forms of PvP with many "noobs" in it nothing new.

I get really angry when people say this mes is not the best class thats one of the dumbest things i've heard. Yes they can counter just about anything but not with the same bar.

A good player can usually tip the scale of the battle enough so that you should be able to pull off some 5 win streaks and if you cant you probably are one of the people contributing to this noob problem in which case you have no right to rant about other people sucking.

Mesmers apply hexes so the foe kills themselfes or screws themselve up really bad. And yet noone in guildwars seems to understand how to play them so they say thay suck. No one person didnt say they suck so the rest jumpped on the bandwagon, its the MASS of people that just don't give things a chance.

Now that my mesmer rant is over, i'll agree, RA is noobified a bit and after every battle (almost after every battle) i get a negative PM in one way or the other.

When i play:

Mesmer -- "mesmers suck"
Assassin -- "assassins are overpowered bulls**t"
Tank -- "stupid tank u are so dumb learn to pvp and dont use frenzy" (even tho i didnt use frenzy i dont even touch that skill, its scary)
Paragon -- "paragons are ghey"
Dervish "overpowered kthxbai noob"

Tired of it all arent you?

But heres a picture for you eles to enjoy, keep an eye out for backfire, will ya? Im tired of hearing eles say: "how the...wtf howd i die?"

every time i RA, i lose a small part of my soul.

i love toxic chill spike. i refuse to play the PvX build because im sick of hearing "pvx noob!" after winning a match. and yet, im not winning in RA as much anymore. my main reasons:

total idiots- a ranger with meteor shower, meteor, and fire storm is not and will never be any form of leet, l33t, 1337 OR (god forbid) ub3r1337

bad rezzing- lack of any kind of res ("i need all 8 skills for my combo!") or poor rezzing ("oh noes, they interrupted my sig. maybe if i keep trying.... damnit. they interrupted it 3 tims in a row. now were both dead")

terrible monks- monks who throw in WoH as their elite choice, fill their bar with random skills and jump into RA. "oh yes! please run over here so you can use heal area on me while im getting owned by 2 thumpers!"

2 things
1) I agree, RA has been sucking lately. There's a lot better chance to get on bad teams, and there are total idiots doing it now.
2) If ur complaining about there being no monks... go one urself if u think ur so good.

What, the warrior using Fire Storm isn't good? I always thought that and the Necro using Dual Shot and Ignite Arrows were the best players I've ever seen.

Hmh seems that I have good luck. Today I got 5 glad points off of teams that most poeple would think woulndt make it past the first 5 secs of a match. I have to agree about the people with toally useless builds. I had a ranger on my team that bipped him self to death before the match even started. There has been a boat load of players Raing adn Taing becuase of the Zashein chests. If A-net decideds to nerf the chest to where it dropfs only bad stuff (not likely) people would stop PvPing because really no reason to waste time to get 5k fac to buy a key and get a mediocre gold or some consumable. Your best bet is to TA with some of your freinds or guildies because you know how they play and have beter chances of wining over just meeting somone and not knowing if they suc or if they are 1337. Those are just some of my thoughts.

I think we can all agree 99% of MMO PvP sucks hard for us hardcore PvPers. Its the same story in WoW...so many nubs so little time...

My advice: Do all RPrs a favor and dont PvP because nub RPrs dont go and ruin your gameplay by butting in and causing us to lose. Either learn to PvP right or dont do it at all!

I will go back to banging my head on a wall now (cause wow pvp blows so much..everyone is too busy QQing instead of PEW PEWing)

i do DIY Monk it myself

Here are the possible out comes

you win- Your team does well! You have a 6 game streak
-Possible Outcomes
-a 6 game streak takes about an hour because at least 2 of the games run the full time limit. You team has no offensive potential or coordination. They only win because you are either a better healer, or the only healer.
-You win 6 in a row, but lose the 7th. Two of your team mates then send you a whisper saying "You suck" and "WTF?!?!? why u lose?"

you lose-Despite your best efforts you lose!

-have fun keeping a team with no apperant self heals or condition removal alive for a good portion of the match.
- finally succumb to two Sins with Daze pounding on you for a good 3 minutes, and then have your team ask why you die so much?
- You must endure the PAIN of the team ignoring your calls while they all attack a warrior with Defy Pain & Endure Pain, Armor of Earth & Dolyak Sig, and many other armor increasing slow down buffs.
-See you cast Holy Veil and someone on your team says "awwww WTF a mending noob" and ragequits.

These are all actually occurances that happened to me TODAY! in RA's

and for the record, i never had a 2nd healer, no rit or para even, and definately not a 2nd monk. There IS a serious lack of healers and talent in RA's lately. But it's better that then a bunch of Korean hax-proz

Heh, I remember way back when I saw the Korean characters in the opposing team's names, I got scared because I thought the Koreans were oh so much better. Now, I just see them as regular foes. I really don't know why I held them on such a high pedestal.

Lol just played RA(and I am a new if it comes to PvP) and won 10 matches, with my own build. So you can say that RA is full of noobs but if you get a right team then it is good. If you don't like RA go play TA or something
