I've been considering getting a destroyer scythe for my derv, just for something to put in the weapons part of HoM. i checked wiki and it takes
5k
100 iron ignots
250 granite slabs
10 onyx gemstones
10 diamonds
doesnt seem like alot of money in materials, maybe 25-30k tops...my question is why am i seeing people in kamadan getting away with selling them for 80-100k? is there some quest or something to go thorough to get them(like forgemaster in Fow) or is there some huge aspect im overlooking

There is no quest that you have to go through to get them. You just have to bring the money and materials to a crafter into the Slaver's Exile dungeon. The crafter is in the entrance area along with some other Norn NPCs. Pretty easy to get as long as you have the money and materials ;). (I think you have to have beat EOTN too in order to craft the weapons, can't remember.)
As far as the selling of them for 80-100k. I'd say it's just people who are too lazy to make the weapons for themselves (and have too much money). I personally would not drop 80-100k on a destroyer weapon. I wouldn't even craft one myself....I think they are butt ugly. I'm not gonna deface my HoM with any of them :P.

Don't mean to call your math skills into question (believe me, mine are terrible), but I think you may be a bit off...
10 onxy gemstones--> 10 x ~5k each = 50k
10 diamonds --> 10 x ~1k each = 5k
5 plat required --> = 5k
other materials --> = 2k (about)
We're at about 62k there. Then you actually need to be done Slaver's Exile, I believe, which I am not as yet. This may drive up the value too.
Just my 2 cents and wacky math.

Don't forget about those that don't have GW:EN. Buying them from those of us that do is the only way they can get them. That adds a little value to the price as well.

Onyxs are worth 3-3.5k to buy from real players but 3.5-4k from trader :)

Little correction for you;
10 diamonds --> 10 x ~1k each = 10k [assuming you actually meant closer to 1k rather than 500 gold]
--> In turn bumps it up to 67k.
Not a big deal, but yea. Prices fluctuating and people being too lazy to make weapons on their own is the reason for the bump up 10-15k. However, I am noticing more being sold at around 65k-70k which seems like the right price.
Anyways, once you have the money saved up, I would check current merchant prices, calculate the total cost to buy the weapon & compare it to the current market price of some you see being sold. It's all about the time you buy, prices tend to fluctuate a lot :P

You don't need to do any quest, you just need to run in the dungeon and it's right in the beginning. But sometimes people sell the weapons for more because they put mods on it. But in theory upgrades should not add any extra value to the item... so the right price should be indeed around 65-70k

I've got a Destroyer scythe that I can't seem to sell. I will sell it to you for less than it cost for me to craft it. It cost me 72k at the time to craft it, I'll sell it for 60k.

I Bought a Destroyer staff with mods and everything it cost me around 75-80k so what they are selling for is really around what they cost if they are modded up.
