| Aliens versus Predator: Requiem |

Coming out on Christmas Day, what better way then to celebrate christmas with your friends or family by going to see and extreme gore fest.
Rated R this time, not that I didn't mind it being PG13 (reference to the first AvP film). But heck, rated R and in a small town in the United States. This is going to be awesome.

As for my opinion. I'm a huge fan of the Alien and Predator franchise. I personally would have loved to see a version of AvP made into a film based off this book: http://www.amazon.com/Prey-Aliens-Vs-Preda...k/dp/0553565559
That first book had an awesome protagonist and the atmosphere I could relate to (growing up in a desert). It felt great for a movie. But heck, here comes Paul Anderson to make it first...darn...
But who knows, word has been spread that their going to make a third film. Perhaps they can make the 3rd one based off the book "prey".

I never saw the first one, i had the chance but forgot, i'll have to watch that before the 2nd one...

I think it's going to be extremely difficult to watch this:
and keep a straight face (R rating or not). I didn't know Predalien was into the Rastafarian movement?

Imagine that thing being real and popping out when your going to the bathroom or something. I'd crap my pants...not thinking about busting out the hash brownies to share with it. LOL
Besides, if you ever played Aliens vs. Predator 2 for the pc. The predalien from the game looks very similar to the one from the new movie.

I fully agree on the comic. I got the original series by Dark Horse in my book case :-)
I wish they'd used that for a blue print of the first movie, would have been way better.
As it is they used just a few scenes and ideas, enough to give anyone familiar with that comic a few annoyed "HEY!!!!" moments.
I'm still having mixed feelings about both the first and this movie. Not going to the cinema for sure. Dunno about the US, but in the Netherlands they always have a need to screw around with the sound volume with action/horror movies. Really messes things up for me.
AvP remains the only FPS game I really enjoyed, and yes that's what Predaliens look like in that game as well. Don't let the dreds fool ya...

Limewire = Virus heaven. Like most sharewear programs. Use torrents if your going to pirate. However, for a film like this. I'm willing to drop down 10 bucks at a midnight showing.

Soundtrack Review

Absolutely amazing. Through the first few tracks I could feel such originality and yet Brian Tyler composed some of the other soundtrack scores together. It was awesome to hear sounds and similar music from like Aliens being mixed with Predator vibes.
My favorite tracks are:
1. Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem
2. Opening Titles
3. Taking Sides
Espiecially the "Taking Sides" track for is long time and such awesome music heard from the older movie soundtracks.
Note: this soundtrack can be sampled on iTunes.
