So I'm curious about the guys offering to take commendation signets by the tenfold. How does one obtain them? And what do they give you? I figure in the end it gives you some sort of status within the realm/race?

Those are back from the lich invasion like 2 years ago now. you cannot do them as a new player to the game. TBH i dont know why they just dont take them out most of us that have commendations have turned them in anyway.
They are basically a wasted NPC

Because they're still useful on new servers where the gates of Ahn'Qiraj haven't been opened yet and it's a lot easier to just leave them there instead of removing them?
I don't really know, I wasn't around back then.

ahh yeah i forgot about new servers, do they still do that stuff? I mean the event and stuff?

Not the scourge invasion, but every new server opens with the gates of Ahn'Qiraj closed by default. I'm not sure what the NPC is for anymore though, I thought it was just for the war effort to open the gate :S

yep your right i got the scourge world even screwed up with that. I remember when it opened onour server and it crashed because there was too many people there. Then the two top guilds got into a HUGE fight over who would open it and it was messy.
