| graphics problem plz help |

well when i try to play exteel it logs me on plays the dam video extremly laggy (the first warning of graphics prob)then when i try to play a game my graphics card over loads and restarts the computer then it does the error reporting thing where it says my graphics card has caused system instability
my specs are
1.5 gig ram
pentium 4 2.66Ghz
ati radeon 7000 series graphics card
win xp pro no sp

I would say your graphics card is to outdated to play the game, I'm not sure but I think exteel requires at least a radeon 9000 graphics card.

The current System Requirements are:
Minimum System Requirements
Windows 2000/XP
AMD Athlon 800 MHz or Intel Pentium� III 800 MHz
256 MB RAM
1 GB available HDD space
GeForce Series 4 video card
16-bit sound card
Broadband Internet connection
Keyboard and mouse
Recommended System Requirements
Windows� 2000/XP
AMD Athlon 64 2800+ or Intel Pentium 4 2.0 GHz
512 MB RAM
1 GB available HDD space
GeForce 5700 or ATI Radeon 9200 Series video card
16-bit sound card
Broadband Internet connection
Keyboard and mouse
So, Gforce 4 means your Radeon 7000 should (barely) meet muster. Minimal Requirements means you can get the application to run with every GFX setting set to absolute minimum and at the lowest resolution.
Now, there's two things you can do without asking your parents for another card or buying one from your savings and thats:
1) Get Service Pack 1 and 2 for your Windows XP Pro. Sorry, but you're crippling your system without it. No game support will help you without at the very least SP 1.
SP 1 is available even if your XP version isn't 100% legal.
2) Update your videocard driver to the latest version of the ATI Radeon Unified Drivers.

Ehm Windows Update Service should take care of that automatically. That's probably wy it's a bit hard to find on the site. And yes they're big downloads. They're also pretty damn important :-)

ok what i ment was wheni was instaling sp1 the process update.exe took up 100% of cpu and the installation wont continue i kept it on for 1hr and still wont move
