I'd like to start off by saying: I am a huge fan of Armored Core. (Thus the title).
Q: What is Global Cortex?
A: Global Cortex is a faction, suited to house elites. Not only does Global Cortex contain elites, we strive to also make people better. Global Cortex recruits certain players based on talent (mainly) and capability. Not only do we provide training programs, but GC also has events to keep the ravens entertained.
Arena is our most prized toy at the moment. Every Raven has a chance to prove himself to other Ravens in the Arena. Arena has certain rankings, and we plan on a reward system eventually. (Ncoin + at the moment)
Rankings range from rank 1-20. Top 3 are rewarded greatly.
There are also several events we are planning out. Such are 'Tag Team', 'Death Race', and our personal favorite 'Last Raven'. And much more!
This faction will be a house for elites: Top notch quality in skills.
However, we will also recruit new talent; and train them as well.
Some basic Q and A about GC
Q: What is a 'Raven'?
A: In the Armored Core universe they are expensive special mercenaries. They are the best of the best and wield the strongest weapon: An Armored Core. In Exteel, they are top-notch elites, who are by all means skilled in their various departments. We here at GC, try to break down our raven talents by seperating certain mechnaughts by 'class'.
Q: How can Ravens be revoked? Is there some kind of, 'point system'?
A: Rank system. Every single Raven has a rank. E-Rank: Naturally Trainee Ravens fall in here or failing ravens. D-Rank: Progressing Raven-Trainees fall here. They are on their way up. C-Rank: First-Time Ravens fall in this rank, or Dropping Ravens. This rank is the key to success or losing it. B-Rank: Raven level, most ravens are suited up here. This is the standard rank for a Raven in GC. A-Rank: Ravens who are above average category. F-Rank: Ravens who are no longer. They are revokees and are looked down upon. S-Rank: Ravens with Exceptional talent. There are only three S-Ranked ravens in existance.
Q: Back to 'classes', how do you plan on doing that?
A: We simply plan to have most of our activity via direct communication (vent): and several group events. Since this game is a MMO, there are certain mechs who will excel in some areas: this is how they are broken down.
