| Do YOU remeber the good old days |

well if youve had guildwars when it came out, you would remeber the days. here are mine:
1.thunderhead keep was almost impossible
2.HA was in the tomb of primeval kings
3.IWAY took over the pvp HA
4.people helped each other (OMG WHEN!?!)
5.the run to ascolan to sactum kay was 65k
6.monks where on strike and had to be paid to be in the group

I remember the days when threads werent literaly stolen off the front page :P
Meh, i have only been playing the game for the last 17 odd months, so i cant really comment on 'the good old days' too much.
Althought i remember PUG's being a lot better when i first started, i got my prot of canth with nothing but PUG's

Those were the golden days IMO. Everyone was a winner- esp. The Last Pride, I miss that guild. Nowadays with more skills and professions, pvp has more of a luck factor.
I miss having failsafe ways of making good money too, such as Underworld and Minotaur farming.

yes clearly lots of people miss the good old days they have been missing them since... the good old days.

when sup absorp was 100k++ and sup vigor was same or more... golden days indeed, when you could get 1kk in less than two days when factions came out, when trapping ettins was uber income, when ecto bug appeared and we had rollback ^^, every friggin joy of completing a mission or quest, the anticipation to do something exciting and challenging... thinking of new builds 'n stuff...
yeah i remember, now it's like something is gone... lost spirit perhaps? dunno ^^"

I remember when having a golden sword was the bomb, especially a perfect one. I remember when I got my favorite sword ever - a gold felblade with 14%^50% for some 90k plus. Yes, those were the days, at least we have something to look forward to, GW2!!!

TK has never been impossible (or close) to do. THe problem was people just didn't know the right way to do it, and everyone knew better then everyone else (Sounds like here LOL) how NOT to do it the right way.

We still do, but the game has seperated the snobs from the helpful.

Can't say i remember it ever being that high. But then again, I've never been run anywhere. I took the path of earning my max armor and not cheating the game by getting it while I was still in Ascolon like so many do.

They only got away with that because stupid people actually paid them. Thank god for Guildies back then. |

i remember those days. when prot bond was useful, when i got my ele to grotto after what appeared to be forever, and saw a lvl 1 ele with full grotto. when i could run the desert, and made a profit. when nobody had a minipet.
when the economy was good. when HoD swords were the only sword you could sell for more than 50k that wasnt max. when my ele used a necro staff. having an army of minions was commonplace
Those days are gone. I wish i could forget how to play the game and start over, and so did everyone else. All i can say is in GW 2 comes out i want:
No Heroes.
Nothing similar to GW1 so its completely new.
Skill rewards for quests.
Fun.

An awesome idea would be for Anet to give us the oppertunity to start GW without updating, so that we have all the oldschool stuff back atleast (like PvP arenas on the main map, old character login screen) and people who want to remember the old days can play there, while stupid wammos and flamers stay in the other servers.
And, anyone remembers when bundle tanking was possible, Final Assault farming was the bomb and Malinons Shield went for 60k?(for example) Warcamp is empty these days, makes me sad...

I wasn't there in the 'Good old days'. But, the first day that i joined i was shoced at how nice everyone was. I wasn't asking for money off anyway, i was just talking and people were offering me things all over the place. It as pretty cool!

How many people actually remember "Attribute Refund Points"?
Builds were barely even thought of then and Templates were probably only a glint in Anet's eye.
XP was actually hard to get (thx Factions....you totally screwed the pooch on that one).
Farming = Ettins, Mountain Trolls, or Minotaurs.....that's it.
I like the way the game is now though. Still hoping for that Shadow Form nerf so that I can farm without competition :D.

I remember all of those...but I believe the highest ascalon>desert run was 50k, and its really sad how crowded war camp was....with all of the people who stood there for hours saying *WTB all greens 500-5000g each!*

Changes in any game are good and bad IMO. I think you will always find some heartache when they change something you like. But think of all the things that are awesome now with the changes.

LOL I remember ALL that. Getting rid of the refund points was the best change they have made. I hated having to go out and kill and kill just to get my points back up to change my build.
I still have my screenshot of my Sup Fire rune that was disguised as a minor. Got it while Ettin Farming..the best place back then to get runes. Speaking of which, remember when it was exciting to get a major rune cause they sold well?
I remember when I first got the game and read about Anet's idea to put out a new "chapter" ... they were chapters of one long story and not expansions ... every year and give us some free content ever 6 months. (Sorrow's Furnace anyone?) Still wonder whatever happened there.
Ahhh...good times...good times. :)

I remember just 2 years ago i found 2 black dyes and made a 55 with one(cost bout 20k back then). I sold that one dye for 29k and soon farmed around 100k with my 55 on trolls. God i miss them good ol' days.

aoe was the best, no jumpers..
monks went on strike in thk for weeks
topk was for everyone
america always had favor
being in drokes and seeing in local " dude, the end of the game is a volcano!!!"
