hi there,
my friend has a mac computer but he can't download the normal client of the game.
Are mac users able to play guildwars? if so where can he download the game from internet?

ah yes, the long battle of incompatibility between mac and windows (not pc, pc = personal computer macs and windows are both pc's!!!!) games rears it's ugly head once again. this gives me the perfect excuse to post this

On the new intel macs, you can just pick up a copy of windows and install it alongside Mac OS X.
I play GW and quite a few other Windows games on my Macbook. Just set a few GB aside for the OS, and run the games of an external hard disk. Of course, those who didn't cop out and get just 80GB probably won't even have to go to that much trouble.

I have a macbook pro that i bought for school and it can install windows with the program that came with Mac OS X Leopard called Boot Camp. Just select that divide the hard drive however you want to then install the windows. After installing windows make sure you run Leopard CD for windows to detect all ur hardwares, motherboard,CD-rom, LAN and such. After that everything works like window except you need an actual PC mouse for right click. You can run only Windows or Mac OS at a time afterward. However there is a program called Cross Over that can let you operate 2 systems at one time I believe but I don't really know anything about that. Make sure ur friend's system is intel.

There is no Guildwars client made native for mac osx, howevr if ur friend has an intel mac he can bootcamp windows xp

You mean all the PROBLEMS it has...
er well i mean it used to be a problem comp now its ok a bit, however the dvd drive is a bit messed up and its scary when a part concerns you in a 1 inch thick sealed case that is near impossible to open or find parts for :)
