As i begin to enjoy WoW more and more i am finding more and more questions so i hope you dont mind answering my noobish questions but:
when i was level 10 with my druid i gained the special ability of bear form..scince then i thought i would try something new and make a gnome mage i have currently reached level 10 and havnt noticed any such special ability for my mage...do they not get a special ability? or do i have to wait?
I was also wondering if anyone has any information or a link on each class in a bit more depth because some of them sound cool like warlock for example but im kind of unsure what they involve...thanks alot

Well mages get polymorph at lvl 8. :P
You can find some info about every class here on Amp in the Classes-section. There's also some skill and quest info at Thottbot ^^

Dru would be the one to ask about mages. Warlocks at lvl 4 I think it is they get their first pet than at lvl 10 or 15 I cant remember they get the void hunter. For paladins they get their first rez at lvl 10 and at lvl 20 they get their class weapon quest. Than at lvl 40 for paladins and warlocks they get their mount quest. Still trying to get to 40 on my paladin. Hunters at lvl 10 get the ability to get/train a pet. For warriors, priests, druids, and any other class that I haven't mentioned I wouldn't know what they get at lvl 10.

Ah the Warlock, my favorite class to melt face on. With the depth they put into the game, there is no simple answer to how and what each class can do.
With the Locks, you get new pets on the 10's. The little Fire Imp(Buff generator and extra DPS) can be aquired as soon as you start playing, and then your Voidwalker at 10(Tank pet), Succubuss at 20(Crowd control pet), Felhunter at 30(strange little dog with even stranger powers!), Felsteed at 40(Free mount), Infernal at 50(Hard to control toy of devastation) and if you happen to go with the Demonology tree hard core a Felguard at 50 as well(Fury Warrior at your disposal).

Because she's not......

Mages can port themselves to capital cities at level 20 and port other people in their party at level 40 to stormwind and ironforge and level 50 to darnassus. You make your own food and water. Yes you get to polymorph. Mages are considered the best crowd control in the game.
As for a special ability like changing to bear form only druids get that. If you want pets that attack you want to play a Warlock or Hunter.
All depends on what your looking for in a toon I guess, what was your favorite one to play in GW? That may tell what your favorite would be in WoW.

Yeah shadow priest would probably the best combo of all of it for you imo. You can still do some healing and lots of damage. I would go Disc/Shadow because it gives you great survivability.

Do note that the shadow priest in WoW is actually pretty good, unlike smiting monks in Guild Wars :P

Why not a priest?
Hmmmm, Shadowspec gewdness. Meltfaces, mana battery at higher levels :-p
You also get a shadowfiend (temp pet), it last 15secs and gives u mana everytime it hits something. :)
Plus, easy to get into groups. I, too, played monk heavily (3,500hrs) on GW and still play priest on WoW. ^.^

To be in armory you have to be above level 10, make sure your toon is in the armory then it should let you make one. Armory has major updates every thursday I think. And it updates current characters each day.
so check yourself in wow armory from the community site, if you are there then its just a glitch in the siggie site.
