| Starting out with a new Hunter Build. |

I want to make a new build to use mainly for Soloing, maybe some Duoing, but mainly to level up to get to PvP Dueling and gaming. As such, this rules out many of the support builds or builds that HAVE to get group support. Basically a Jack of All trades.
What sets would work best?
What archetype has worked for you? Which sucks? What build is the hardest to beat?

Stalkers and Masterminds are the ideal classes for both solo play and PvP. A brute will do pretty good solo, maybe not as ideal for PvP, I believe. I don't do pvp, so others might correct me. Dominator and Corrupter will be hard. Only at their later levels they become really powerful solo.
So go for stalker or MM. I believe robot/dark is one of the best MM builds for PvP. Personally I think it a boring set, but that is just me. If you want a PvP god that might be it. A claws/regen stalker is also a great choice for both solo and PvP.

Phedre, a properly built Brute can rock at PvP. They're pretty darn good at PvE too. . .
Of course, the "Jack-of-All-Trades" AT is the MM. Go with that.
My internet cuts off in two seconds so. . . yeah. . .

Aye, I've never suffered a defeat on my Brute in PvP, and I never really PvP.
Also, in PvE, there's no one who survives longer or deals more damage than my Brute.. hm.. maybe fully IO'd Energy Melee/Electric Armour is overpowered?

Ild personally suggest a SS/fire brute, since it was, if im thinking correctly, which im usually not, a favorite pve Farming build on the offical boards, is also very good in PvP, but mine does extremely well, the hold in the primarys practically BEST damaging single target attack is killer, as well as how it never gets any less funny watchin my friends /fire jump into a PvP group get a blasters health to like 1/6th get killed and pop up with RotP and kill the blaster turn around KO blow another and finish it and usually get away :) as well as having the unfathomable uses of Foot Stomp in PvE.
O and i almost forgot most people dont like it but i find Hand Clap to be very entertaining... Jump into a group full of squishies and hit hand clap and run off its pretty funny..
yup im pretty sure im rambling.... but its 2:45 am, im a little less sharp then i usually am, which im not very sharp anyway so thats my 2 inf

Looking over PVP in comparison to PVE, I've realized that Aggro is not such a problem, neutrolizing specific toons is. So single hits, single debuffs , ect. take presedent. I am also looking for something that can CC and range. Being dependant on the fact that you cannot kill what you cannot reach is not that interesting.
Is there such a thing as a Blapper in CoV?

You want a good villain build for PvP and soloing, go Energy Melee/Electric Armor Brute. Pick up Aid Self fairly early, as you will need it for PvP and for PvE, as a downtime reducer and as an OH SH*T power. =D
