ok here are a list of problems i have
-i can sometimes see through armor but only like gwen armor
-the smoke of fire appears in blocks
-some armor only appears in specks
does anyone know what the problems is
There have been a few cases in which the image messes up and yet a few months later everything is fine. For example: when alliance battles first came out, spikes would random appear in certain areas when fighting OR when Nightfall was first released. A friend of mine had gotten it before me, she would show me weapons from NF at like Lion's Arch. But the skins would appear as white boxes.
If that kind of thing is what your talking about, it could just be Anet's problem. But this is just a possibility. It could really be your video card.
I'd look at updating the drivers on both the video card AND your chipset...if you have an Nvidia or ATi chipset they can affect graphics.
This should always be your first step in trying to resolve graphics problems. Prolly also check if your DirectX needs updating.
If that does not fix it you may want to check some of your graphics settings in game. I would run the Auto-Detect and then readjust from there.
Personally I leave Post-process effects off. Most of the time my PC can run with them on just fine, but in the main cities and areas with a lot of partical effects (smoke, fire, fog/mist/haze) it starts slowing things down too much.
Let us know what your graphics card is and what you have your graphic options set at.
Yeah dunno why gfx cards have their weird moments, but can someone please explain to me why my gfx card kicks @ss in every area of the game except EyE of the North (OUTPOST) where it gets a bout 9fps, versus the 45-60fps everywhere else?
