I don't know if any of you followed this story. But i caught larry king live last night where they interviewed Damion Echols and apparently DNA evidence was uncovered that matched none of the three that are in prison now. After fourteen years on death row they may finally get a chance to a fair trial. I'm really excited to see the outcome of the new evidence and was just wondering what your opinions were

Actually never heard of this...time to go use google and do some reading...will post my opinion after I know what it is :)
After reading about it I have no real opinion. If they are proven innocent then let them go.

The West Memphis 3 are three men tried and convicted for the murders of three children in the Robin Hood Hills area of West Memphis, Arkansas, United States in 1993. Damien Echols - the alleged ringleader - was sentenced to death. Jessie Misskelley and Jason Baldwin were sentenced to life in prison.
(All the information required for outsiders)
My own opinion: Evidence/time will tell, justice is not 100% fail proof. The only people that thrully now the truth are the Victim(s) and Offender(s)

I guess if they're proven innocent then this would be a pretty huge scandal? Especially if someone was killed over it...

Probably not, here in the states guys usaully sit for years in prison before they are executed. Another thing that recentley happened was a guy that raped and killed a 7 year old girl was sentenced to death years ago, but now he's not going to get executed because New Jersey decided to repeal the death penalty. Made me kind of mad...

yeah, damion is on death row but still alive, i think proceedings with him are on pause with the new DNA evidence
