So...I'm looking to make a (this is going to sound weird) PET build.
I want a character, more than likely a defender, that is built AS a pet. I want to be able to log the second account in, put this character on Follow with either an attack or heal or something on "auto" and just have him follow my character around assisting.
Suggestions, comments? I'm thinking Leadership pool, Assault, Manuvers, Tactics being biggies. I want the character to require as little input as possible...something like "pop the bubbles on" and then not really have to worry about him. I currently use him with Neutrino Bolt on auto and my main targetted. So he'll fire the bolts at whatever I'm targetting.
Currently, on my second account, I have a Force Field Defender. He's FF/Rad. His build currently is:

This is the build I'm considering...
This way he's still playable if I want to actually RUN him and not just use him as a pet.

To tell ya the truth i dun think thats wierd at all... then again my world and order of thinking would strike most as utterly bizarre and well plain wierd so that probebly contributes to my outlook somehow.
Also stones having pet kins is usually pretty common
my friend has a couple pet builds usually defenders and trollers he uses to PL the said build. I.E. his first was a grav/storm troller he set the heal on auto and as soon as he could he had the build followin him around with hurricane on (yes he was a blaster, no not a blapper a ranged blaster :] ) another of his pet builds was a illusion/kin set Group Invisi on auto and once and a while gettin on the account for the occasional SB. really it depends if you want to level the build, the build is simply a support build (aggresive and defensive support), and the AT its "pet" for example refering to the blaster and storm example for the repel to keep annoying melee'ers out of the blasters face
for an FF defender.. it looks like your going pretty good although if your not a melee toon you might consider Force Bubble >.> also consider gettin the build stealth and a stealth io or something of the sort since its always good for all concerned if the pet can rez you and not get killed after you have died...

I've actually been doing this for a while. My most successful "pet" has been a fire/kinetic troller. He's currently at 35 and I run two keyboards with all of his main useful attacks hotkeyed. Its handy as a scrapper to focus on mowing down the mobs while only having to press 1,2,3, or 4 on a second keyboard to have holds, buffs and debuffs (I have transfusion set on auto for heals galore, just watch that your pet doesn't aggro first, for this I've found having SS to be useful), and a set of little impys ticking off the baddies. I would almost suggest going with a troller over a defender, just so your pet can have pets (otherwise /dark might be nice). I would think a fire/rad would be a good choice as well, but really, it all just depends on your character you want to compliment.

It's supporting a tank, so no bubbles. The tank is a Willpower tank, so I want to keep the baddies all rounded up nice.

An empath troller might be a nice aside. That way, when you get there, AB and regen aura will boost your regen to unkillable proportions. Add assault and tactics and your dmg and acc are boosted plus your boost from fort. I like having emps on regen based characters, basically god mode. Go with fire as a primary, so that you can get imps at the eventual 32, and you'll have a dmg boost there as well, while you manage aggro.

there is a player on protector i used to team with a lot who did this. they actually had 3 accounts going at once. they were all fire/emp trollers who had 2 with healing aura on auto, hot feet always on, leadership, and imps following around. the one they actually played was just spamming holds and shooting off fire ball. it was pretty insane, seeing as he could solo (trio lol) almost every av we faught. lol, with me having imps as well, it got really fun. the character's name was heart burn healer i think.
but anyways, now that i got my rambling done, i suggest a fire/rad for a good "pet". since your actual player is gonna be a tank, have the troller with the AoE heal on auto, get all leadership, choking cloud, hot feet, and imps. with that, they will be taking constant dmg, getting held, and c'mon, it has its own pets lol. i think you'll be set with that. and i know from experience, that build would be good for when you wanna run it by itself as well.

My idea is to not really have to touch the second account much once the fighting starts. That's why I was thinking bubbley. With the trollers, I'd think that I would have to re-drop the Imps and whatnot, which could get annoying.

Actually, I very rarely have to redeploy my imps, especially as a tank, there should be little to no redeployment. Much less than you would need to rebubble your tank. If you go fire/rad, you'll have to reclick your debuffs, as a fire/emp you could just auto spam heals and noone will ever go down. Just a thought though, pretty much any support build will work.

but the rad wouldnt be using the debuffs. the empath wouldnt be doing much more than the auto hea, and the rad could do that + CC. and with the ideas from using emp, you would need to switch over for AB, RAs, and fort. rad, there would be the toggle, auto, and maybe AM. not much real effort
