Hello, I am new to the game and was wondering why I keep seeing alot of people say Ninja Blade is bad for PvP. I have a lvl 21 Ninja Blade/Nin Stalker and want to be good in pvp. Should I remake a Energy Melee Stalker instead? Could Someone please explain to me why Ninja Blade is bad for pvp and will I be able to do that massive 1 hit blow to people in pvp that I do to mob/bosses in pve?
Thank you

Ohh i respond first *looks around*
first off Unwelcome to Gameamp Dark! (villain lingo for welcome 0_o)
second they're most likely refering to the commonly known and utterly detested Placate bug... Yes i am one of those people who are frustrated at the devs as to why they give the Succubus's a half working form of placate, create a placate IO and refuse to fix the stalker, the AT of which is nearly DEPENDANT on placate... ignore the rant if you wish ;) no insult to anyone ;).... when you attack with a ninja blade attack you most likely will notice it has a -def component, if you inflict a status effect or DoT (my Area as a spines) placate will fail and the target will continue to attack you (in pvp) also Ninja blade is considered less because it doesnt get its decent follow up until 26, which at 26 you become rather lethal, not EM lethal but to the point BU+AS+SD isnt a joke to a squishie or the walking meat bag blasters... yes i also dispise the fact i can get Aimed +BU+ and Blazed and have the following DoT kill me while on my /FIRE BRUTE.... Also as a little bit of a side note, get concealment and run stealth while running hide, also wait for the OPPERTUNE moment to attack, ive found most stalkers to be impatient and end up not using AS which is like makin me say ummm.... go play a brute >.> only exception is EM where they can 2 hit squishies with ET...yes i dispise how strong EM is. Oh and post your secondary and we might be able to offer a few extra hints ;)
Disclaimer: please do not be offended by anything i have said in this post, it is not an insult or attack on any person. also... no one can sue me in a court of law... >:)

Basically what Epsilon Unit said didn't answer your question. At least it didn't in my eyes.
Here's the answer:
Ninja Blade is bad for PvP because first of all, it has low damage attacks, and the little damage it DOES deal, is resisted A LOT. Most PvP'ers have well over 50% Smashing/Lethal damage resistance. There you go.

Thanks guys for the helpful replys. Could someone tell me the best way to make a stalker for pvp? I want to be as good as possible 1 on 1 since i will be by my self alot. Would the best 1 vs 1 pvp build be Energy Melee/Ninjitsu? I want to do as much damage as I can with that one big assassin move.

Energy/Nin is one of the best for PvP, however since you'll be having to level with the build, Nin uses a lot of end (I think?) which EM can't afford. Energy/Regen is great, since you only have one toggle to worry about (Integration, Mez Prot +Regen) - And you kill so fast that some of the defenses from Ninjitsu aren't that useful (Unless you play on Diff. Setting 2/4, where there's more baddies and more attacks being made.), so having Regeneration bonuses and Reconstruction can get you from fight to fight at a fast pace.
Use Paper Mishes to just kill the Boss and get the mish bonus, which is the fastest way of lvling w/ a stalker (Unless you hangout with an uber team...)
I just hit level 13 on my NRG/Regen stalk (Yes, after ranting about how Energy stalkers are overrused I decided to make one to find out xD sue meh)
Here's the build I plan to use:

if your a good stalker with decent patience and use your AS, resistance doesnt play a major factor in anything thanks to AS being mostly irresistable, although its a good point i forgot about the squishies havin those shields in RV, nice catch aurrius

Epsilon Unit, What do the shields do? Do they offer protection against Leathal/smashing damage or all damage?
Also, If I stayed with my Ninja blade will i still be able to that big AS damage hit and take off like 75% health in one hit like I am doing now at lvl 20 in pvp?

Yup, depending on the AT and their resistances.
Hit Build Up+AS and it should get them to 1-20 more hp, and Soaring Dragon will finish them off.

NickTrickz, Do you think Assassin's Strike in Energy Melee tree will do more damage than Assassin's Blade in Ninja Blade if I am hidden and use build up? I saw people saying that Assassin's Strike is better and thats why I should go with a Energy melee stalker.
I am looking to do the most damage in one hit with buildup + Assassin's move + hidden in pvp

I find it funny that no one ever thinks of the amazingly powerful Dark Melee/Super Reflexes PvP combo. The best PvPer on my server has it. And he is BY FAR the best.

| RE: Ninja Blade question? |

| QUOTE | NickTrickz, Do you think Assassin's Strike in Energy Melee tree will do more damage than Assassin's Blade in Ninja Blade if I am hidden and use build up? I saw people saying that Assassin's Strike is better and thats why I should go with a Energy melee stalker.
I am looking to do the most damage in one hit with buildup + Assassin's move + hidden in pvp |
Neither Assassin Strike (Ninja Blade/Energy) does more damage than the other, its the damage type that really helps. Energy Damage is rarely resisted in pvp, so it usually does more damage on a target. The lethal damage that Ninja Blade throws out is highly resisted in pvp, making the set little less effective. The damage types like Energy and Dark are most feared in Sirens because of their rare resistance by anyone. If an (Equally Slotted) Energy Stalker Assassin Strikes a Defender with absolutely zero resistance to anything, and a Ninja Blade stalker AS a Defender with zero resistance to anything, they should both do the same damage.
If you're looking for a squishie killer (Blasters, Defenders, Controllers.) go with any set, however if you plan to kill Meleers (Scrappers, Dwarf Kheldians, Scrappers) consider Energy or Dark. And hey, if you stick with Ninja Blade and continue to PvP, just stock up on Enrages before you go to Sirens Call xD

Enrage is a red inspiration. It gives either 25%, 33% or 50% extra damage.
