I have a dervish character I've been playing for a while now in PvE, and I keep coming back to one very good reason for not playing him more. HE'S BORING!
I put on avatar of Balth., eternal aura, and a few other enchants and wade in killing things...slowly. At first glance they seem so versatile but in practice they don't gel with most other professions well.
Anyone have suggestions on how to make the grind with a dervish any easier?

My Dervish is a D/RT, Use splinter weapon and combain it with chilling victory and some other sythe attacks, this does a nice big anount of dmg to surrounding foes + you get to see lots of numbers flying around. also use avater of dwayna to help keep you health up and when Avater of dwayna is recharging use Victorious Sweep to help gain health. to help maintain your energy use Zealous Renewal.

Leave splinter weapon to the Rits. And always combine it with ancestors rage.
Just run in treemode, it's amazing.

Deverishes are very very versatile. You can go Ava. of Lyssa with a pair of daggers and hear o fury and you will do hurt to casters. Go Ava. of Dwayna and some enchants and sig of pisious light and heal your team members and heal yourself. Go Ava. of Grenth and make all enchants of your opponents go away. Or you could go Ava. of Melandru and tank people, and not have to worry bout those pescky blinders. You just have to find a good build that you love to play and you'll find out that they are not that boring as you think.

for PvE i use the following build
Eternal Aura

Attackers Insight

Utility Skill(You move like a dwarf, great dwarf armor, lightbringers gaze, etc etc)

this build can tank all the damage in the world with a bit of heal support, in mobs deal dmg and spread deep wound, and lay down damage like theres no tomorrow for pvp i use alot of different builds, depends on the level of pvp
for RA/AB/HB i use
Ebon Dust Aura
Unseen Fury
Aura of Thorns
Feigned Neutrality/Mystic Regen
Wearying Strike
Signet of Malice
Mystic Sweep
Victorious Sweep
for Ta/GvG/HA(if general balanced build) i use
