We just got at&t uverse for tv and Internet. Due to the distance they used a wireless card to the pc. Now i can't play GW without it stalling and losing network connection. The only thing they can come up with is paying to run cat-5 to the pc. Anyone have any other ideas on how to get the wireless to work?

Run the line yourself. Its cheaper. :) Though GW can be played on wireless, its not ideal to play on wireless with its constantly streaming info. Running a wire will be your best bet. But dear god, don't pay someone else to do it. Buy the line and run it yourself. :)

Thank you. I was hoping for a better option to avoid the line, but if it will never run properly guess i can't get out of it. Unfortunately it will cost about the same either way. My wife is going to see if she can get them to do it for free since it was just installed and hasn't been working properly since then. It's just too much of a hassle to get them to get the job done right.

Its true that any program that uses the internet will run better on a cable but i run about 3 pc's on the same wireless network and when i play i have a perfect connection.
with regards to the original question i must agree and say that your best bet is probably linking up with a cable.
Hope you get it fixed up:)
