Hello ampers my name is Col.Stryker and I am a PvP-o-holic. Since I have returned to the game I have become nuts over PvP. I do it with almost all of my toons. I know name calling and smack talk becomes a problem for most players but I always pvp were I can't see hero Broadcast and such. So my question is do you PvP a lot? What do you like and dislike?
I can answer yes I love to PvP. I dislike farmers though. I mean the farmers who are their for inf. sites. So our SG doesn't nothing but destroy them in PvP. I guess for RV thats were I got the nickname FARMER KILLER lol.

i love pvp as well, especially when i'm tired of the pve game. one thing that really bothers me though is when people say they don't use insperations in pvp. then! then they use them!! BFs, greens, i've seen blasters use 4-5 reds then wipe someone out and when the victim pops greens so they can run away the instagator has the nerve to try and call them out for "poppin". most times i laugh it off, but in BB it gets to be less and less about the game then about tryin to tell someone that they're a popper and playing unfair.
i use insperations. so does everyone else in pvp. if you say you don't, your a lyer. it's part of the game and it's completely fair play. whoever came up with the notion that it was cheating and all the people that perpetuated that theory are just plain wrong.
other than that i think everyone should get out there and pvp. it's the best aspect of the game as far as i'm concerned. if your worried about sucking, don't. everyone does at some point.
the trash talkin' is prolly my favorite part of the pvp zones. it's hilarious!!!! and what's even funnier are the poor people that take it seriously. i think the most important thing to remember is that this is only a game. plus you don't accumulate any debt when your killed by another player. so really, what's the harm??
pvp forces you to think about what your doing. the pve game puts me to sleep most days. it's so repetitive. "kill, get mission, kill, get mission, kill, get mission, die, kill, get mission, kill, get mission, go to contact" ........ etc, etc.
GET OUT THERE PEOPLE!!! i swear it will improve your game overall, and your gaming expeience.

I totally agree with you Dys. Get out there have some fun. There has been times were I have played for hours and hours in RV and SCs. Its awesome when the area is swarmed and it becomes a cheese fest. Like you said PvP has its good and bad days but never a dull day.

I <3 PvP!!!
For me it's a great stress reliever...I mean who doesn't imagine the blaster that you just AS'd to be your boss/teacher? No one? Huh, guess I'll go take some meds...
The smack talk is hilarious...I usually get some rogue hero to start smack talking so I can surprise-attack while they're typing.
I even have a lvl26 MA/Ninjitsu stalk called "A Non-Energy Stalker." Yes, he's actually named that :p
Oh, and selling Confuses to friendly villains is always fun >:-)
Although the villains usually pwndizzle Sirens Call on Victory, so I'll usually be playing as my Emp to make things fair. Everyone should try PvP, it's wicked when I'm in SC :p
When the sum is 273, the hollow soul I will be.
Victory Server FTW!

I love to PvP, it is just so much fun, the violence, the smack talk, it's all there. A few things i dislike are farmers, they blow and should be banned completely. I hate the villain epics compared to the hero epics. And there is a hero sg on Guardian that i cant name, but they are a bunch of nuts who came on my sg's site and had the nerve to tell us they will stop at nothing to wipe us from a pvp zone if we're there, and make sure it's no fun for us. I usually pvp with my stalker and its so much fun, i love the occasional "you can't kill me without AS" or "fight me without hide, coward" it's so funny. I also like to arena pvp, that's some fun stuff right there, solo and team, it's all fun.

Toss me a PM of the brute's build and i can fix you up a nasty pvp build if you want.

I am on the Guardian server and any time I go into BB there is no one there, other than maybe another villain. I like to pvp as well, i used to do it a lot on wow but have yet to encounter any heroes to beat up on in this game. I do have toons on Champion and Victory so maybe I'll have better luck there.

well macgant there's your problem. free-dum is the best server for random pvpness. if only for the simple fact that there are so many people on that server.
can someone explain to me the "farmers"? i don't understand what thier angle is.......
do they just go in and kill a buncha npc's? is there a trick to what they are doin' ? how can you tell a farmer from a everyone else? any help would be helpful =D.

Yeah I noticed that Freedom was always a lot more full than the others. I am going to put a toon or two on there and build 'em for pvp. Thanks :)

I'd like to say in 100% honestly that ive never popped an inspiration in PvP, infact anyone that has ever teamed with me will confirm to you i rarely use them period, i only ever really use the rez's and break frees, with the very occasional yellow against an EB or AV
In honesty i think id be one of the only people that could survive if inspirations were wiped (though i think its a good idea and pointless to remove personally)
So yes i am that exception to your statement :D

well first off BB is the last pvp zone you want to be in to be honest, if yuo want to find a hero, check sirens or RV, i garentee you'll find atleast one there, but yea i can tell you that the most populated pvp zone on Guardian would be sirens, sometimes RV, alot of people dislike RV for the fact there are only farmers there most of the time, and when you attack them, they run and hide in the base until a) you leave b) they get bored and leave and come back later or my personal fav c) they call in for back up and chase you out of the zone, or try to >:P

I agree with what everyone is saying. Me personally I like it when people pop insp. it just means one way or the other they are going to die. NOVA as far as the SG your talking about I know who they are they also have a certain MM that STAYS in RV. Anyways are SG (The Devils Own #3 on the server) are fully aware of farmers and we stop at nothing to rid them. I wonder why hereos haven't learned yet that we stalkers do not fight head to head. FTW I love killing blasters while they are typing.

I went into Sirens Call with my lvl 22 Corr (AR/traps) for the first time last night. Unlike Bloody Bay, there were actually heroes to fight. Unfortunately they were all higher level than me and seeing that I was only one of three villains in Sirens Call at the time, it was not an easy time. I used stealth and some cunning (read luck, lol) to complete a few missions and since I like to use stealth to sneak around and do stuff anyway, I still had a good time even though I was thoroughly pwned when it came to fighting. I am looking forward to leveling some more so I can do more damage to those pesky heroes though (rather than just bleeding on them) :)

I have only recently become infatuated with PVP (i have been in a zone before but nothing major or serious). A friend of mine convinced me to go into BB with my bot/trap MM (when she was around lvl 25). One of the first heroes I saw was a FOTM Ice/eng blaster who stopped and had the nerve to say "LOL a trap MM?". Needless to say after the fourth time he took a dirtnap he wasnt laughing (the last defeat he suffered he had a second ice blaster with him to share the same fate).
I actually was complemented by a team of heroes in BB, they told me each time i came out they had to divert the attention of at least three of them to slow/stop me. So after this i steered her build along the useful PVP route.
Only ever remember getting abused once when I uses TP foe to bring a blaster in Sirens to a carefully laid trap network. (he called me stupid when he was the one standing in the open) but he didnt persist as the rest of the heroes were treated as fairly. (its good when you can have friendly banter with your foes there fore making it more enjoyable)
Now she haunts the streets of RV she has the growing reputation of a MM who you do not attack if youre on your own or are now too sure of your build. (i got a list of about 8 ATs who can take her one on one)
I pop insp, sure I'm a villain who is constantly out numbered, it makes the fight go longer and and i sure as hell dont complain Im out numbered as i expect it.
As for farmers. HATEHATEHATE. Had one camped by the villain entrance using a heavy to farm MU guardians. He was afk when a seeker drone floated my way and hit me, my bots reacted and attacked his heavy, in the end i left him without his toy to the mercy of the npcs.
I also hate stone/stone tanks who cant do enough damage to you in melee so they feel "forced" to drone you.
But apart from that I really enjoy PVP, so if your in RV on the Guardian server and see a bot/trap MM stalking the signature heroes on her own please wait til she's done with them first, kind of hard taking down Statesman while a scrapper is attacking you (and no I didnt beat Statesman in case youre wondering, his AT is one of the hard ones for me)

Honor gets in the way of victory. All - the - ****ing - time.
Especially for me.
I've always been too much of the nice guy. Whether I know the other person or not, be it PvP or PvE, I always ensure they get as much fun out of the game as I do.
When it comes to duels (read: 1o1), I do not use inspirations, unless my opponent does. Alot of the people I fight usually never do, since they probably have the same code of honor as I do.
Another 'problem' I have, is that in duels, if I am clearly overpowering my opponent, (standing at 100% everything, they are below 20% everything) I sheathe my swords and back away. Yeah, it's odd, there's no real loss for them to die, only me getting some temporary reputation, but I do it anyway.
There's the exception of this when I'm fighting multiple opponents. One time was after I had finished a mission on my Fire Brute, and was fighting off some Freaks in BB (was level 20). 3-4 Heroes attacked me, and I couldn't just leave them all at 5% since they would probably just keep hurling stuff at me.
I generally stay away from PvP though. I'm an easily hurt person, so I most of the time get really frustrated at smack talk, if you know what I mean. Whenever I do go into PvP zones (which I do all the time, PvP missions = gud exp), I'm surprised how well my character fares against others. Just yesterday I had the first PvP fight on my L36 DB/WP Brute versus a 36 Claws/Regen Stalker in Warburg. I had just finished off a Rogue Crab Spider when she ASed me and continued to hack away. I started fighting back, and the AS had given me a good boost of Fury, so she was dropping fast. She started popping some inspirations and healing herself with some nifty Regen powers, and she was beginning to the get the upper hand, when I noticed she had dropped my RttC. I turned it on, and for you WPers, you know how the WP armors sound and look when you turn them on. Like a friggin Overload or something. I checked her Vet badgers after the fight; none. So she popped even more insps and used Instant Healing or some other annoying power, believing I had used my tier 9. I refrained from using any inspirations until we were both at 100% again (thank joo, RttC, where my end was running low. I turned off Sprint and MoB, and finally got her to 5%, where I asked "To the end?", quitting combat stance. She was missing a bit, and in the end she just disappeared. I guess Hide kicked in. She didn't come back or say anything, but it was a fun fight.

Frustration, thats a young person's trait really, but i know we can all suffer from it. I used to get really frustrated about getting loads of debt in a short period of time, but now im past caring for it.
At the end of the day i feel smack talk is a natural thing, hence the whole hero villain thing, i dont let it offend me, i think its healthy (to certain levels). Don't worry about it really, unlike me you can kick their ass if they offend you :)

KoB+rage= dead wp scrappers. KoB+rage= mostly anything dead. i was in sirens the other night and was woopin, i mean embarrassing this db/wp scrapper. i was literally LOL. ss/wp is gonna be my next brute that's gonna "suck for pvp" LMAO. with hasten i can usually get 2 KoBs off during the course of a chain of attacks, one to start and one at the end. i love seeing any foe flying straight up in the air heels over head after i land one. doubly for blasters!!! but typically they die before i get to the second KoB though sooooooo, MWA MWA HAHAHAHA. trollers with PFF are the best, not always, but sometimes i'll get one through and they run like roaches when you turn the lights on, =D.
when i run with my dom, all i gotta say is you better have plenty of BFs.........
i don't care when people use insperation when fighting me. i consider it a compliment. it's liars that get my goat.
