| Exciting times in the tunnels under the Hollows |

Alright, so I logged on Swiss Ice Storm (level 13 Ice/Storm Controller) and had about an hour to run around. I seem to be stuck at 13 forever. I went through the Raptor Pack and Zero-G pack and still didn't get to 14 for flight.
I then get a tell asking if I want to run the transendence mission. "Sure" I say. As I arrive to the team it hits me that this is the Task Force, and I am not sure we can finish in an hour.
The leader states he thinks we can finish in 30 minutes, but sets the challenge timer at 1 hour. I am thinking, "great that will be perfect".
We start the trial and get through the tunnels pretty quickly. We enter the Lower Tunnels and that is when things went south.
We get into the large carvern and immediately die. All 8... team wipe. Ouch! I port to my base and immediately port back to the lower tunnel entrance (love that feature of the base medical bays).
All the rest of the team get back and we start again. bam! all dead again. This is not going well...
Needless to say we don't have someone with individual invisibility and teleport powers. So they start battling again and again team wipe. I believe I died about 6 or 7 times. The Challenge timer now ends and I am needing to log (but I am not about to do that to the team). With 20 minutes left we finally get everyone to an obelisk. we all click at the 20 minute mark and we then find we have to save Sam Wilcott... Crap!
Couple of more team wipes and we are almost out of time. We have one hero that can grant invisibility... He hits us all with it and we try to get past the magma lords and pumicites.
But what do you know they can see us somehow and its another team wipe. some of the team gets through and finds Sam and all the rocks and the monster that is there as well.
I am out again and head to my base once again. I get back to the lower tunnels and enter two teammates are dead by Sam and the rest are scattered...
2 minutes left. I reach Sam and there is a pumicite leader still guarding Sam... no sign of the monster or any others. I freeze the pumicite and start hitting with all I have (air superiority,Sands of Mu and freezing him in a block (I am a ice/storm controller what did you expect)).
With less then a minute left I defeat him and suddenly Sam says "thanks for saving me Swiss Ice Storm"
MISSION COMPLETED!
Holy cow... that was the ugliest task force I have been a part of. But... mission complete and badge in hand.
Who would have thought the Ice/Storm Controller would save the mission at the last possible second. That was extremely cool.
That is why I love playing the game...
By the by... I finally got to level 14! Woohoo! Flight time.

Booyah Swiss! Wicked good. Cred from me for the great example of how the game can be a blast for any player playing any AT!

Great story, have to love those moments when the unexpected saves the mish. Two thumbs up.
Great moments in gaming history.
I have only run that once and my team and I didnt fare that well. I never even got to see an obelisk.
Last night I was goofing with my first troller (finally got PA). I was assisting a tank, who was working on arresting this boss. When a Mu targeted him and kept sucking his end.
Gotta love it when a big strong tank asks for the help of the squishies. A quick toss of Blind on the Mu, and the tank continued to what he does best.
Tank'ns my Bidness and Bidness is GOOD!

That's great Swiss.
But I have to ask. How in the sam-hell did you use both of your temp travel powers within 13 levels? I know Ice/Storm isnt the most damaging combo, especially at that level, but 4 hours of travel?

Very good story swiss,
That one is extremely rough without someone with invis and teleport powers to be able to place everyone at the obleisks. Its cool to see someone come out of that one with a great story to tell.

haha, this kinda reminds me of something like that. I dont remember to much detail, but we had a timed mish and we couldnt find the last guy, i saw him with like 00:04 like and so i decided i couldnt get range fast enough, then i thought....SNIPE! i popped BU and AIM and fired. DEAD! Mission Complete! it was so kool
Oh and nice Swiss, Ice/storm wins the mish, always a kool feeling

I'm looking forward to the ice/storm controller guide Swiss is going to put together after that story. I should have an excellent tactics section.
