Ok, I feel really stupid for having to go to all you guys for this, but it's killing me! I accidentally opened some sort of digital magnifying glass on my computer, and it's extremely annoying... especialy since I have no idea how I started it or how I am supposed to get rid of it?
It's just like a box, I'd say 4"x6" around my cursor and anything its over is magnified. My OS is Windows Xp. I don't know what else to tell you other than I know it's trivial but I'll be tossing my computer out of a window if I cant fix it.
EDIT: Oh, I mentioned how silly I feel for asking this?

I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about, but if it's the built in magnifier that's part of XP, this should help you.
Go to the start menu, accessories, accessability, and chose "magnifier". You should be able to chose exit when you get the magnifier menu again.
Hope this helps :-)

Thanks but that didn't work, that brought up like a full screen magnifying glass. Atleast I could get rid of that one... just what I need right? To be stuck with two of them lol!

are you running widgets? if so, check to see if it is a new one
other idea is to open windows task manager(ctrl, alt, del) and see what is running

Ha!!! I think I might know the answer to this one.
I use a Microsfot Wireless Mouse. It has 2 buttons on the left side of it. Buttons 4 and 5. One of them by default is a magnifying box about 3x5. So try pushing your side mouse buttons if you have them.
If not, then I was wrong. LOL

If you're running XP or Vista you may have the Accessibility Options turned on. In XP, go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>Accessibility>Magnifier
click on that bad boy and shut it off.
For Vista, go to the help function, I not so smart on that one yet. :-p

I'll reply to the poster above me, that the OP mentioned that his OS is XP, and that I already mentioned the magnifier in the accesability opitions (which the OP mentioned didn't work)
Also, hopefully this bump will find someone that has the correct answer, since I certainly did not.
Hope the problem is solvable :-)

This worked for me:
Studies show that 92% of teens listen to rap. If you are part of the 8% that listens to real music the add this to your signature.

Hold the windows button and press U and under the options for the magnifier, click stop.
