Hi guys, I'm new to GW and to these forums, so if i'm doing something inappropriate by posting this here, please excuse me.
I would like some feedback on this build i use for general PvE; also please point out stuff i can improve upon.

not using my best runes as im saving them for the prestige armor set.
marksmanship mask
energy recovery +1 rune
minor rune of vitae +10
didn't install the rest as this is just a temp armor set, and i don't really understand the mechanics on how they would perform if i installed them.

When it comes to a build my opinion is, if it works for you. In other words, when you are out with it are you successful? If so then it is a good build for you. The build I use I am sure is a set build made by someone, but I don't know. I've never looked for it. Simply put, it is what works for me.
Your build looks good. If you are happy with it then leave it be.
However, I am a little confused by your runes. In your OP you say you are a R/Me. But on your last post you say you are using a energy recovery +1 rune. Something isn't right there.

I was ele before i turned me, i think thats when i attached it to my armor, dunno if it works anymore tho.

Hmmm i havent had rime to check but off the top of my head it look very energu consuming. BUT like somone else said closer to the top, if it works for you then dont let anyone else tell you different, i run splinter barrage with 2 interupts and poison tip and a ruby djinn, and i am the strongest, with SS rez, alot of people tell me mine looks bad but hey, i have never had any trouble doing anything
so stick to what you like
No fear no time to go back, i gotta leave a pint of blood on that mat

honestly if you want a ranger that spreads conditions everywhere id try fevered dreams, if you know how to use epidemic id stick with that but i dont much like how small of a range it spreads the conditions
also @ Rogue, i tried that turret build the other day, made me lul

Why would a 10 energy skill use up a lot of energy? If you run it with that amount of expertise it only costs 5-6 energy. The only thing I'd change is Disrupting Shot in stead of screaming shot. Burning + Poison gives (almost?) the maximum amount of degen, so there's no real need for bleeding. And usualy other people in your party cause bleeding pretty fast and I usualy attack with a recurve bow wich is just out of aggro circle.
And apply poison works a lot better than poison tip signet. If the foes aren't adjacent to each other (so epidemic doesn't work) you can spread around the poison much easier.
And the last thing I'd change on this build is Natural Stride in stead of Lightning Reflexes.
Than run:
Expertise: 11 +1 +1 (the 2nd +1 comes from your mask)
Wild Survival: 8 +1
Markmanship: 11 +1
1. Burning Arrow
2. Savage Shot
3. Distracting Shot
4. Epidemic
5. Apply Poison
6. Natural Stride
7. Troll Unguent
8. Res signet/SS rebirth signet

EDIT:
Natural Stride > Whirling Defence. You can just rush out and block 50%. Most enemies stop chasing you after that.
So you might want to add Troll Unguent (in stead of Lightning Reflexes) to get some pressure off the monk.

Personally I'd take out whirlind defence for Natural Stride.
I never leave without my Natural Stride.

Natural Stride ends if you get hexed or enchanted, which is why I like Whirling Defense way more (for PvE, I don't play PvP a lot).
If you're running low on health, and you got a prot monk in your team, the prot would most likely remove your Natural Stride, making it useless.
Personally I don't like to run away (when playing ranger) because like 1 or 2 foes are attacking me, unless it's HM (note: this is not about PvP). This has it's reason: NPC foes usually die fast, making it a waste of time to run away when you could help killing them, making the killing faster. IF you're with Heroes and hench, they will start running too, unless you for some reason would flag them before the battle.
Whirling Defense = last resort (well, not exactly, but I guess you get the point). It's not very spammable, but it lasts longer than NS and has a 75% chance to block.
Natural Stride = more spammable, which means you could use it whenever you want to. This skill doesn't last as long as WD and only has a 50% chance to block, BUT it also gives a 33% speedboost. I would guess that makes it more useful for people who does run away as soon as they get attacked.
Edit: I would switch Savage Shot for Dis Shot, and Screaming Arrow for Hunter's Shot, cause it looks like you'll get low on energy pretty fast.
I never bring Burning Arrow for PvE anymore, anyway. It's quite fun in AB, though. My favorite is Prepared Shot, it makes you able to spam attacks with a high energy cost without running out og energy.

@Blazings: What u say is also true, and apply poison works better for this build. But you can't maintain a 100% fire all the time with this build, that's just impossible. The energy cost would kill you, and thats why the bleeding is useful -7degen always and half of the time it has -10degen

Fair to decent build, and welcome to GameAMP!
I do prefer whirling defense to cover activating troll unguent, and lightning reflexes is good too. burning arrow is one of my favorite elites since most everything burns and not everything is affected by bleeding or pioson. Harch Brdal or Sasla The Huntress run something like this bar below if not using token splinter barrage or toucher with pets (and with 3 ranger heroes (if you have GW:EN) you get 4 party members and 4 allies, I'll take those odds).
11+1+1 mask and minor rune of expertise
11+1 minor rune of marksmanship
8+1 minor rune of wilderness survival
1 choking gas
2 poison tip signet or apply poison or barbed arrows or disrupting accuracy
3 broad head arrow (elite)
4 epidemic or pestilence
5 lightning reflexes
6 whirling defense
7 troll unguent
8 res or cap signet
I alternate between a vampiric and zealous shortbow of fortitude or defense, respectively.
