terms ive never heard of

ok im mainly a PvE player and i have to say im tired of ppl saying some new term or made up term then watching the person go crazy

heres an example

i was in nightfall workin on the gates of d mission

-i just got to the gates with my ele when a person asked me to join his party
-when i joined he asked me if i had a AXER and i said i had no clue wat that is
-the kid goes crazy callin me a noob then says axer axer MO/W ... this and i see the skills used
-it was a flipping 55 monk build, same skills and eveything and when i said oh its a 55 monk, he says no no no no its not, but the build uses the same weapon and off hand cesta so.... i would say is the same thing...

All i have to say is this:
If i dont no the term used just tell me, i dont need to be treated like a six year old.

there are a lot of things i dont understand about the game and may never learn but give me a break who cares about the terms has long as u explain it, then were all happy

I guess you're always going to run into a few idiots while playing an online game. The best thing is just to ignore them, or even mess with them...twist their words so they end up making fun of their self. Maybe add them to your friends list so you can pull a prank on them once they've forgotten who you are (I've done that quite a few times :P).

Either way, the only way to stop those sorts of people is to ignore them...an attention-seeker without attention is like...well...salt and vinegar chips without the vinegar (sorry, best I could come up with XD).

I can relate to this very much. Back in my Magic the Gathering days. Terms for decks or certain cards were used all the time. I don't understand why people have to make things more difficult beyond the games standards.

But an Axer? That sounds like the kid just went on some GW forum like guru and found some guy say Axer to describe a 55monk and so this kid took that term and acts like everyone should know what it means.

New terms: Just another downside to playing online video games.

Axer sounds better than 55 hp Monk Solo Farmer if you ask me.

kinda got used to those asses, according to some ppl i might be one as well on some days. just ignore em and let them 55 away. people judge ea too much. think they are all self-important.

Axer...sounds like, I dunno, an axe-warrior? And why would you want to call a 55 monk an axer...sounds painful.

Well people who play magic the gathering name decks to go along with who they are going against or if the opponet says I am using this kids of deck u can pull a deck that matches or can beat that deck. I had a friend that had 3 box's of cards all kinda of deck names. But for Gw I am not sur the whole changing the name of the build that is the same name asa 55 monk.

Axer- maybe because they use the totem axe?

Ive been playing for like almost 2 years and i am starting to notice this "q" thing instead of people saying, WTS R9 Crystalline Sword... they say q9...

I wrote a post awhile ago about the use of "q" instead of "r" or "req". You should have seen the flames going.

But people are most likely NOT using WTS or WTB to get around the automatic removal from all chat, into the trade, much like W T S, WT(S), sellin, and many others.

Yep, and even with the mega enforced "law" in guildwars people still spam trading in local, just not as much. I was surprised tho how much it got cut after the message was added in the logon screen at the time it went live and im sure people got suspended for still doing it. Heh, once i said "WTD *item name*" (Since the D and S are close and it was a typo) i forget what the item was but someone threatened to report me. Haha good ol' gw community. Where no one gets to live down a simple mistake.

what about the term w/mo? i keep getting confused does it mean a elementalist who uses HGH or does it mean an annoying assassin who thinks they can tank?

Warrior / Monk
Meaning a warrior with a secondary proffesion of a monk.
Same with E/Mo, etc.
