DB/WP Cookie Cutter

hey all,

new to all of this, was just wondering if someone could give me a good cookie cutter DB/WP build? I understand it should be based off my playstyle...just need a good place to start! thanks! if this topic is a dead-one a link to a previous post would be greatly appreciated!

I seem to recall some experimentalm builds being posted a few weeks ago, but as they were in Hero Builder Googlygook, a language I don't parlez myself, I didn't pay much attention.

At least a few Ampers has a DB/WP or WP/DB characters by now, some of them which are probably above or in the 30ies. BigChill made two articles about the sets, check them out, they give a good overview of the powers, as well as his own experience and playing style.

I could give you my 50 build for my Brute, but not sure how much it'd help on the blue side. Either way, I haven't put much thought into it like, "Oh, I don't need so many DMG enhs in this and that power, Fury will make up for it." etc, and since I'm not 41 yet, Patron is subject to change, but it might help a bit getting your own DB/WP started.

I'll work one up, but quite honestly, I'm not extremely fond of Willpower as a Scrapper Secondary. It's kinda like Regen Lite. But DB has some good AoEs, so it might work.

I also don't care for DB as a tanker primary because of the combos and needing to have certain powers to make them work. I think DB is a really good Scrapper Primary and WP is a really good tanker primary, though.

I didn't place slots. I'll leave that up to you. All I can say is, Rise to the Challenge should have 5 anyway. Max out healing on it and maybe give it some ToHit Debuffing.

i read the guide, and let me say it was great. but do you have the exact numbers for the resistance/defense of WP's toggles?

First value is unslotted, second value is triple slotted with even level Single Origin enhancements (SO's):
High Pain Tolerance: +20% max HP, 5,63% resistance(All) // +29,5% max HP, 8,78% resistance (All)
Mind Over Body: 16,9% resistance(Smashing, Lethal), 15% resistance(Psionic) // 26,3% resistance (Smashing, Lethal), 23,4% resistance (Psionic)
Fast Healing: 75% regeneration // 146,2% regeneration
Indomitable Will: Mag -10(Sleep, Feark, Knockback/up/down, Repel, Stun, Hold, Confuse), 7,5% defence(Psionic) // 11,7% defence (Psionic)
Rise to the Challenge: 125% regeneration // 243,7% regeneration (one enemy)
Quick Recovery: 30% recovery // 58,5% recovery

Oh, didn't know you had a DB/WP guide, Aurry, read it as well, nice one, you really got into every single corner there is to the sets.

I was a bit disappointed as well at SoW at first, but then I started reading a bit more in detail about it.

Pros:

The end drain after crash is only -50, not -100, like other sets' tier 9 powers (Unstoppable or Power SUrge, for example).

Quick recharge; only 3 minute downtime after use (All other tier 9 powers have 7 minutes downtime after use).

+30% Recovery unslotted, this means that you should have roughly 100% end when it crashes, so that you can continue on fighting even after it has crashed.

Cons:

It is unaffected by Attack Rate changes. This includes enhancements, Speed Boost, Hasten, etc, so you can't make it perma.

The resistance on it is sparse. +~19% Res vs Smashing and Lethal, +~10% Res against everything else (Unslotted).

Regeneration over Recovery would have been better (In my opinion). A tier 9 power is supposed to be the ultimate shielding-"I-win" power. This is more like a power you could use every time you face a red Boss.

But, in the end, this is what we got. I have yet to actually try out the power, but I'm hoping for the best.
