I would like to see a compilation of all the "epic" posts that have been made about the game mechanics of GW here on our PvP forums really. Epic posts are posts that everyone should read, because they are important for understanding the game mechanics, player skill, how to improve, etc.. A player with good knowledge of his surroundings can break or make the game.
So I would like everyone to post their links to posts they think are "epic", and deserves to be mentioned. Once we've got a sensible amount, I'll pile them together in a new topic which I'll pin (and lock) in our PvP forums. So post those links now!
I've provided some of my own favorites, to use for examples:

List of Team Arenas Map Analysis's - listed by Divineshadows
Rangers, The Teams Toolbox - by Yue

Flag Running; The 20 min Marathon - by happy feet
Beginner's Guide to Guild vs Guild Battles - by Mithie - (I could not find the original version on TeamQuitter, but I got hold of this version instead. a must read for everyone, even veterans.
That's the ones I could remember in a hurry, I'd like to see more getting added. I'll have to organize them slightly better in the second, pinned topic though. So start posting the links you know of containing epic posts

This is a very handy topic, especially if its not all just builds, but actual ''battlefield'' wisdom, as builds can probably age or change overtime, but understanding game mechanics don't (unless you change the entire game that is, unlikely)

Whats the *general* learning curve of PvP? Talking about just basic that is, you know, teamwork etc.
I think with these articles its alot faster though.

I'm afraid the learning curve for PvP is quite steep. Even with those articles you need to get some experience ingame to really get the feel and hang of it.
If you are relatively new to this game, then I actually advise you to do some PvE first. There are over 1000+ skills in this game, and your first task should be to remember what most of them does. Just pick a profession you like, and play it through.
If you've already done that, (or you want to know what to do afterwards) then you should proceed into RA.
RA is quite possibly the lowest form of PvP, but nevertheless it's a way to understand that you rely on your team to win. Even if you play absolutely brilliant and amazing, that won't help if the rest of your group plays awful. In my opinion you should try to get r1 gladiator (a pvp title) before going any further into the other kinds of PvP. You can go to TA during that time also, and of course AB, as it doesn't require all too much skill to compete there.
Once you want to move it up a notch till the high end formats of PvP, you are going to need a Ventrilo, and a microphone. That is pretty "must-have" stuff. You can buy a headset with a microphone pretty cheap, 10 euros or so for the cheapest ones. What to do after that is described in some of the links we have posted so far, but don't be afraid to make a new topic and ask here as well once the time comes ;-)
I hope that clears up some stuff at least. As I said, it depends very much on how much of the game you've played in beforehand, but start out low, and work yourself upwards.

Well if you want, I can link to my own.... Pretty much epic rambling going on. o_O
*sigh*
I'll add the Why The Game Almost Always Will Be Balanced Around PvP, and Not PvE then, by me... It must look like I've got an extremely inflated ego, but it's the only post I could think of right now on the subject. I'll look through some more posts later, by other people.

WOuld it be possible to just edit the OP so that all the relevant link are up there. Its is a pain to scroll thorugh all the comments to look for particular links, even worse if this becomes multiple pages. Just an idea
