You could go the classic IWAY build. :D
Class
-Warrior/Ranger
Attributes
-Axe Mastery 13-16 (1+3)
-Strength 10 (+1)
-Beast Mastery 9
Skills
-Eviscerate (E) - Prophecies
-Executioner's Strike - Core
-Distracting Blow - Core
-"I Will Avenge You!" - Prophecies
-Charm Animal - Core
-Tiger's Fury - Prophecies
-Wild Blow - Core
-Resurrection Signet
Equipement
-Radiant inscribed armor
-Strength Shield
-Furious Axe of Fortitude
I hope this helps you. :)

A fun one is to use Primal Rage and max Strength for great armor penetration that makes each attack do about the same or more than a Spirit's Strength build.
Class
W/R
Attributes
Strength- 16 (12+1+3)
Marksmanship- 12
Tactics- remaining attributes
Equipment
-Max Armor obviously
-Superior Strength, Vigor, and Absorbtion (or the best you can get)
-Flatbow/Shortbow (max dmg 15^50 20/20 +30)
-Survivor Insignias on all armor
Skills
-Primal Rage [E]
-Favorable Winds
-Rapid Fire
-Signet of Strength
-Lion's Comfort
-Penetrating Attack
-[Optional]
-Ressurection Signet
Usage
Before battle set up you spirit and use Signet of Strength. Right before attacking use Rapid Fire then Primal Rage, then just sit back and watch the the damage happen. Does about 80-100 on an AL 60 and 50-70 on an AL 100. During the in-between stages of when Primal Rage is on, use this time to heal or use Penetrating Attack.
A bow is used instead of anything else because the Marksmanship attribute is the only one that has Preperations and Spirits and can help enhance you Damage Output that you can use prior to usign Primal Rage because Primal Rage disables all of you skills for 10 seconds.
This is a fun build to use because its not exactly what people are expecting and utilizes the warrior's Strength to it's max. There are many bulds better than this one but this is definitly a fun one!
Hope this helps! ^^

I'd use this build:
Axe 14(12+1+1)
Strength 11(10+1_
Tactics 9(8+1)
Eviscerate (Elite)- High damage+deep wound, great for spikes
Executioner's Strike- high damage attack, use after Eviscerate
Agonising Chop- extra damage and interrupts foes suffering from a deep wound
Bull's Strike- kd fleeing foes, amazing skill
Frenzy- great ias to increase your dps
Rush- use to cancel frenzy if taking damage or to chase down foes
Healing Signet- use for a free strong heal when not taking heavy damage
Resurrect Signet- use to res fallen allies
Armor: all survivor insignias, the minor runes shown above, superior vigor rune and a rune of clarity
Axe: Take the following axes with an 15^50 inion and fortitude handle.
-Vampiric (general)
-Ebon (for attacking warrios)
Shield:- fortitude handle
- see clearly inion(reduce blind 20%) or +10 armor inions

why W/R? There is nothing good with W/R that a regular warrior can't do. Seriously, if you want a bow use a ranger, and if you want to melandru's tank just use a ranger too. I would go just a regular shock axe or rend axe for pvp.
quit gw for good. end of story.

Conjure Flame
Conjure Frost
Conjure Lightning
Whichever one goes with your axe.
EDIT: And then I realized we're still talking about W/R's. So take out the Conjure and add in something else.
