hey guys just wanted to ask a couple of questions im not entirely sure of.
1: ive hit level 20 recently with my mo/me and i noticed that im still gaining xp. why is that? does it keep going up but goes towards some other reward later on?
2: if you apply a rune to your armor/weapon can you then get more powerful runes to add to it later? or does it only support one change?

1) yes yor xp keeps going to get you skill points that you can use to get new skill from a skills person>
2) runes am not sure of but i think you can only have one at a time on an item.

1:
When your xp-bar is full again, you get a skillpoint, which you use to buy skills from skill trainers. This goes on until.. forever? Or there might be a max on xp, but I doubt that because nobody reached that yet ;)
2:
You can only add 1 rune on each armorpiece. You have minor, major en superior runes. Minor gives +1 for one attribute, major +2 and superior +3. You can get the rune off the armorpiece with a expert salvage kit, but the armorpiece might break. Safest way to change runes is to just put a new rune on an armorpiece which already has an rune on it. But they do not stack. The old one will just be erased.
Hope it helps.

1) As answered the post above me, you get a skill point every 'level' gained with a lvl 20 character. The skill points can be exchanged at a skill trader for a new skill for your profession, or a signet of capture (you can capture elite skills from dead bosses with that)
2) You can have only 1 rune each part of your armor. These can be replaced by a better rune later on, but you will lose the rune that was on the armor first.
For instance: you have a monk wrapping of minor divine favor, and you decided you want to upgrade it to a major rune, and you use it on your armor, you will lose the minor rune, but your previous monk wrapping of minor divine favor, is now a monk wrapping of major divine favor.
Hope this helps you!
And feel free to ask more questions if needed!;)

It's just a matter of preference.
Personally I'd like to have as much health as possible, and so I have minor runes only. You can stay alive longer this way.
But for the 55hp monk build, you need to have 5 superior runes, or else the build won't work!
So it just depends on the build you are using, and if you're willing to sacrifice health for a better effect of skills.

im still toying with my skills. basically im a smiting monk but i spose at least in gw you can re-stat with no penalty to go the other directions. my dom and illu for the mesmer are pretty high on stats to so i use some of the health draining spells the mesmer has.

Majors (purple) will only at 2, while Superior will at 3.
But on the other hand, if you don't need a +3 but with a little waighing you have enough on +2 you can add another +2 to another armor and you will actually have 5 healthpoints more then when equiped with a minor and a superior.
