Okay, I'm kinda new to handbooks so this may sound daft.
After reading wiki, I found that you can get a 2nd book. Does this have any benefit at all?
If yes, I assume its that you can hand in another completed book and gain reward for it.
I can see this being possible for dungeon guides, but hero handbooks?
I know this is a lot of Q's in a small space but can someone tell me whats going on?

You can repeat the quests to fill up the handbook then hand it in for all the usual benefits, it's a good way of levelling up the EOTN rep titles if you don't like grinding much.

There is a second set of books for Hard Mode.
You can acquire a Normal Mode book and repeat the quests in Normal Mode. Or grab a Hard Mode book and do the quests in Hard Mode.
HERE is the Wiki Page on the Hero Handbook
Hope this helps :)

Yup, you can just redo the missions in the Hero handbooks. You just need to talk to the NPC's that have the little mission tapestry deal over their heads when you have a fresh handbook in your inventory.
You can also talk to the pool in the hall of monuments, and it will give you the quest leading to the mission, but its not necessary to fill the book (but its helpful if you don't remember where the appropriate NPC's are).
