I was in Random Arenas a while ago when I saw some one post this in all chat.

I took the time to find him in the crowd and reported him because of the stupid thing he did. This stuff is what I do not like about Guild Wars everything else I love. Some people may not think it is bad but GW is not dating site so I don't think he needs to advertise stuff like that.

Don't believe for a second this guy is really after an online date guys. What he's after is creating drama, people taking him serious and complaining / arguing / accusing him.
And generally, a lot of people are more than happy to provide the drama he craves. It's just like with a bully or other attention-whore, ignore him. Literally, /ignore his account. Don't give him the (negative) attention he craves and you'll be doing the worst you can do to him. Giving him any kind of attention is giving him exactly what he wants.

Reporting someone for that is actualy pretty unnecesary imo. If someone really thinks he can get a gf with that, he prob has some problems with himself. And I don't think any girl will respond to that.
Looking at the age of the girls he is looking for it's probably some 15yo guy that just got into puberty or something ^^

If you want more ''LOLZ'', go to Ascalon District 1 during the evening in Europe (around 6 to 11) theres usually a guy there asking for Female Slaves who must be obedient, female, and he will treat them like a queen with items etc.
I've never fully understood such human specimens, which makes me further wonder, are they actually?

just laugh at it and walk away if they don't attack you personally... because reporting somebody for swearing randomly in local is extremely lame, and those people should get smacked in the face for being idiots (nosy people who reported things that are not their bussines)

I have to say that cracked me up. Thanks for lightening up the post with that. :)
As for the topic, he is sick and stupid and should be ignored. Just looking at what he said tells me no one in that age group would answer because they would be intimidated. If anyone did, it was probably a dude in his 20's trying to allieviate his boredom. I also agree he did it for the attention whether good or bad just to make himself laugh. People can have really dumb senses of humor and I think he is one.

In my opinion that's sick, even as a joke. In my opinion there are certain things you don't joke about and that's of of those. I hope he got banned for what he said as he deserves it, especially at a time where you see more and more "online harassments" to kids. Things like that should not be taken lightly, there should be tougher penalties to someone like that other than simply banning his account, for all you know he could be serious about it - or worse he could be on the news tomorrow, yes I may be over reacting, but I do have family and friends that I care too much about.

You don't ever find a gf in schools because that place is for learning only. You can't find them in food places because that is only for food. You can't find a gf in a store because that is shopping only. You would not like it if a staff member booted you from those places for trying to get a date now would you.
Yeah what he said was bad but some people are into that stuff. Not for you to decide where people can ask for a gf/bf.

I see your point, I really do. But...
All of those places have something in common with each other that they absolutely do not have in common with online games. Instant accountability.
On the Internet, thanks to our need for privacy being equated with a must for anonymity, there is but the thinnest layer of accountability.
So while your age, gender, e.t.c. can all be readily be guestimated at a glance in any of those venues, the same just does not hold for online dating. The best we've come up woth so far is a means to separate people who can use credit cards from those who can not and simply assume the former are 'adults'.
That anonymity is one very valid reason to segregate online dating from other leisure activities. Internet, Online games e.t.c. are different from play-yards and restaurants and other Real Life social venues. Different rules and ethics apply.
Enough preaching :-)
P.s. GW is nearly unique in actually enforcing a tiny bit of accountability due to all your characters being linked into a Friendship List entry. Most games don't even do that.
P.p.s. School is for learning? WTF? Why doesn't anyone tell me these things???
