| Guildwars and windows vista |

I am wondering if anyone is running guildwars on window vista ( i have home premuim ) and did they have any problems with running guildwars on it
If you did have problems how or where did you go to sort it out and where did you download the fix for it.

Depends what error you get then, post a screenie if you can that displays the error, would be best i think.

I've had absolutely no problem with Vista. Any problem you're having with game should not be cause by the OS...although, it may be part of the security setup. You could perhaps make sure you're running it as Administrator...or you could go turn off that UAC off...User Account Control, just to bypass some minor lil. thing that might be causing a problem.

I saw vista at circuit city near my house the other day.
I gotta say, I am slightly impressed with the transparent affect that vista has around the window edges, how it blurs like looking through almost a foggy glass, its pretty nice.
I know vista supports DX10 and XP dosent which makes me even more want vista but im not getting it.
Anyways its nice, im sure gw runs fine on it.
EDIT: oh yeah forgot to ask, can you run windows xp window style on vista too? I know windows classic is an option but was wondering about the old xp style.

i have Vista, and gw runs perfectly on it. not a single error.
for the window themes, you can choose the 'classic' style (which you also have as an option in xp) but i can't choose from an xp style. however, there was a button called 'browse' so you might be able to download some themes of the internet

In case you needed anyone else to say it, I'm running Vista on both a laptop and desktop and GW runs without a problem.

no problems here, if anything, it runs ebtter than XP, but that may be down to new my new PC. But no bugs or problems at all.

Probably your new PC, though if your system is newly upgraded with i presume mostly the lastest tech, GW's in XP will probably run at the fastest FPS so in Vista you wont notice a bit.
Only perhaps games like Crysis or anything like that Vista might suck a whopping 3-4 FPS away, not too much of a concern to most.

Isn't crysis suppiosed to run better on vista? DX10 and all that....
