Metal all the way. Though when listening to it to much a radio channel (gwradio) is good to mix it up alittle :)

It would be a tough call between Slayer, Bad Religion and Clutch. All have been around for over a decade and still are putting on great shows.

I'd have to go with the Rolling Stones.
No offence to the Beatles, but the Stones are still adding to their musical contributions to the world.

It's actually pretty hard to say who's best when it comes to things like that...
But, slightly more on-topic,I would also like to add Pantera to that list.

Mr Blobby. A genre all his own classic styling of the AB format take the record industry to new presidential heights. his mix of influences from Sublime, Daft Punk, johnny cash, Air, Hybrid (So inventive his influences span music made after his only hit). together with beastyboys, rage against the mashine, house of pain, led zeplin, elvis, fat boy slim and most importanly The Cheeky Girls mixed with clasic influences like Mozart earth wind and fire, paris hilton, brian eno, and will smith make his stuff all so much better. If you like good music you should check this out

I thought that was a movie?????
Just listened to your link. They aren't bad. But when you think best bands of all time you have to go beyond just "how good they could play" and more to the overall impact they have had on the music world.
The Beatles and Stones effected an entire generation, and the Stones are still going. And Pink Floyd "The Wall" OMG what an awesome album and the movie is a classic. As much as I hate(d) them Nirvana brought a whole new music out. And, even though they sold out in the end, what about Metallica??
And whether you like Country or not, or whether you like Garth Brooks or not, no one since 1990 has had a greater impact on a type of music then he has.

LOL....I had never heard of them until this thread. But they aren't bad. Not my style of music, but I can be open minded when I listen t something new. Can't say I would go out and buy their stuff, but I would listen to them if someone was playing it.

How could I have forgot KISS. You want to talk about a band that was everywhere, and masters at marketing themselves? If you're not familiar with their history, these guys were HUGE!!! KISS everything from lunchboxes, to action figrues, cartoon TV show, KISS this and KISS that. They even have KISS coffins. The credit has to go to Gene Simmons, he really was the brains behind it and still is today.

Why do you think that? I'm curious as to your reason(s). Not that I am disagreeing, just curious.
