W/D Droks Run Build

Sorry I didn't post this yesterday. I've been playing with the build, and this is what I've had the best luck with so far:

Armor set:

Knights Templar Helm of Superior Vigor
Radiant Gladiator Hauberk of Superior Absorption
Radiant Gladiator Gauntlets of Minor Strength
Radiant Gladiator Gauntlets of Superior Strength (yes, two sets of gauntlets...I'll explain why later on)
Radiant Gladiator Leggings of Minor Tactics
Lieutenant's Gladiator Boots (your choice of rune here)

Weapon set:

Your choice. I went with a sword with +28 health, and a shield with +30 health.

At some point, I'll experiment with a weapon that makes enchantments last longer.

Point distribution:

12 Strength
11 Tactics
6 Earth Prayers
5 points left over

With armor equipped:

14 strength
12 tactics
6 earth prayers

Skill set:

Sprint
Enraging Charge
Balanced Stance
Fleeting Stability
Healing Signet
Signet of Stamina
Endure Pain
Vow of Silcnce

How it works:

Start each zone by equipping your gauntlets with the Superior Strength rune, use Signet of Stamina, then switch back to your gauntlets with the Minor Strength rune. When you use Signet of Stamina, it raises your max health by 317 points. But you don't want to have to deal with the -75 health that comes from the Superior Rune, so switch your gloves back. You'll notice that when you do this, you get the 75 health back from switching the armor, but Signet of Stamina will stay in effect as though you were still wearing the Superior Rune. The effect of this is your max health is 905, and 1,191 when you use Endure Pain. This is one of the advantages of this build over a dervish.

When you need to run through golems or ice imps (and I shouldn't need to say this), try to aggro as few as possible. Use Vow of Silence to keep yourself from getting pinned down, and Endure Pain if you're about to die and need some extra getaway time. If you do get pinned down by a hex, don't re-cast Vow of Silence until the offending spell is about to wear off. This way, they can't pin you down again.

The last really strong point of this build is that Fleeting Stability lasts 13 seconds and Balanced Stance lasts 18 seconds. As long as you are careful to alternate between these skills and cast one before the other wears off, nothing will ever be able to knock you down.

A W/D ran me yesterday idk if it was you who ran me or somone else....but who ever it was seemed to use a build similar and had a great run.

I am glad you've shared it because I have been looking around for it so I could try it (I like running).

i noticed u have helm of sup vigor...
does that mean u get xtra health(cus of the stacking?)??!! or was that a miss-use of rune application?

might not neccessarily be rune miss-use, but who knows.

i don't think it stacks and havent heard of a health helm for wars, pretty sure warrior helms are only + Warrior Attribute (Strength, Tactics, Hammer, Axe, or Sword)

haven't played a warrior in ages, so not 100% sure, but am pretty sure that it's not. heh

you're right, wariors only have helms of thier attributes (Strength, Tactics, Axe, Sword, Hammer)

1 - I may have misused the rune on the helmet. If you see something about my armor that just doesn't make sense, I probably did it that way because I don't know any better. I think the build is pretty solid, but I invite correction / critique on this issue (or any other for that matter). The helmet itself gives me:
+1 strength (stacking)
armor +20 vs. physical damage.

The addons give me:
Health +50(non-stacking)
Received physical damage -3

2 - Fleeting Stability uses Earth Prayers, and with this build, gives 13 seconds of immunity to knock-downs.

How well does this work compared to what I am use to as a W/Mo?I use Sprint,Charge,Balanced Stance,Healing Sig,Endure Pain,Remove Hex,Mend Conditions,Holy Vail and Signet of Stamina.

Strength 12
Tactics 13

I need to fix my helmets for the right composition.

i use a R/D to run... works way better and you have much more energy

altho it does look like it would work..

I have tried it out - made a ton of money too. I haven't kept count, but I'd say my success rate is about 2/3. I would guess that this is better than the average Dervish/Assassin (based on how well I've seen them do when they've run me), but it's hard to get an accurate reading on this. Does anyone have any extra input?

I will have to think of capping VoS and getting a good enchantment weapon or see what I have.
